isn't this the plot of Howl's Moving Castle?

the problem is that like the speed of light, the best way to eat peanuts is a hard limit built into the fabric of the universe and we already reached it by inventing the fluffernutter
took my cousin to the Queens Zoo the other week and was sad we didn't have time for me to drag her in here too
skimming past this I thought for a second it was a post by esteemed character actress Margo Martindale and I'm glad that's not the case
so now I'm going to use this opportunity to say people should watch BLOW THE MAN DOWN (2019), a delightful neohitchcockian new england crime thriller
"I am very important and people should listen to me" is really the main content of most manifestos and he had that going for him, at least.
The thing about Jurassic Park as a nightmare scenario is that "zoo" is actually an extremely solved problem (even in the extreme case of "zoo with big animal").
rookie mistake here: airplane wings don't flap, you have to hold your arms out straight and jog around in tilty circles
in terms of targeting the phrase "ghouls, cannibalism and werewolfism" from the list of forbidden topics in the original code is one that bounces around in my head regularly
Well now I just want to rewatch HIGH NOON (1952)
Despite being about the characters participating in an in-game game designed to explore the competition between hope and despair in the psyche of man and investigating past events, the Danganronpa series is Lesbian Bartender
They call it NoVa because it's impossible to find real lox there
Anyway weed legalization was probably very good for the ocean
Noticed a dime bag on the sidewalk on the way home tonight and it's fascinating how legal weed has made that both (i) infinitely rarer (there was a time not long ago when they were an everyday sight) and (ii) strongly suggestive of harder drugs
I'm not self-righteous about it but I usually try to get to the airport on the later side because I took up smoking when I was 11 and although I have (largely) replaced it with vaping I still like to minimize the amount of time I spend within a closed no-nicotine system
I'd previously said it's two great actors giving what might be their best performances, but that might be selling Alana Haim short by not saying "three," she's also brilliant here in a totally different way.
And this seems to be one where the culture at large has decided it's important to preserve secrecy so I'm cool with not mentioning it.
(And my more real concern is that mentioning That would attune people to That and obscure the other things that the movie is doing, including in that very scene.)
For what it's worth, I think it would work even knowing the thing.
I also find it infuriating that (in addition to overstating how much it's about that thing) people aren't talking about how funny it is; like yes it's "about" things but it's also an extremely sharply-written and well-acted comedy.
1876 was questionable tbh
As far as I know I invented it (I assume I'm not the only one to think it up but I haven't heard it from elsewhere)
Curious what you think (I adored it)
The other thing is that it's more than possible to tell a story that takes place in a larger continuity but works on its own (either by assuming the audience understands general story principles or with key flashbacks).
TV shows have regularly done this 26 times a year!
(Mine is that the flood of consumer drone toys onto the market was subsidized by some government actor to sanitize the word "drone" in public consciousness and downplay the seriousness of overseas activities with (entirely different) military "drones.")
well right, but that's why "Age of Extinction" and "The Last Knight" are more useful than "Transformers 4" and "Transformers 5" respectively if you want to refer to them
"Hot Grilled Steak" is just a cursed phrase even without the context tbh
To be clear I meant the later ones: you cannot expect me to remember whether "dinosaurs" comes before or after "King Arthur" especially with Stanley Tucci playing unrelated roles in both of them.
The problem with this particular take is that after a certain point they have almost nothing to suggest a chronology in them so I find the subtitles more useful
This is I think giving him credit for a LESS dangerous and wrong view than what he's putting forward:
With the reference to elections I read it as "the public doesn't get to vote the Justices out, and therefore any attempt by the public at visibility/oversight of court operations is illegitimate."
Catching up on more of these
MARVEL WINS
Johnny mostly sings Springsteen and Billy Joel, but he does it with the natural ease of someone who's belted them out in jukebox bars since he was a toddler. O'Brian tries for showpiece numbers that he can't actually pull off.

Bruce does market research, reading hundreds of novels by everyone from Courtney Milan to M.A. Innes, working into the morning to write the perfect genre piece. Steve just sort of assumes he'll be good at this and loses track of where the characters' limbs are.

Zatanna makes baked goods using magic recipes that viewers can't replicate; Daimon demonstrates solid recipes that anyone can do after drunkenly stumbling home.
Tragically, the bros who would most benefit from this watch Zatanna out of perverse sexual lust.
