Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick suggested that older Americans could be
"fraudsters" if they complained about not receiving their Social Security checks.

Lutnick, a wealthy financier who was CEO at the investment firm Cantor Fitzgerald, has been touting President Donald Trump's hardline trade policies for weeks. During an episode of the "All-in" podcast, he suggested that those complaining about not receiving their benefits could be committing fraud.

"Let's say Social Security didn't send out their checks this month. My mother in law, who's 94, she wouldn't call and complain. She just wouldn't. She'd think something got messed up, and she'll get it next month," he said. "A fraudster always makes the loudest noise, screaming, yelling and complaining."

"Anybody who's been in the payment system and the process system knows the easiest way to find the fraudster is to stop payments and listen, because whoever screams is the one stealing," he added.
He said that older Americans would not complain because they "trust" the government.

More than 72.5 million people in the U.S. receive benefits from the Social Security Administration. A recent survey from Bankrate found that 77% of retirees surveyed said they are relying on their Social Security to pay for necessary expenses, CNN reported last year.

@jackpittbrooke.bsky.social and @jaydmharris.bsky.social , am I correct in thinking that if A) England get the 5th UCL spot and B) the FA Cup and EFL cup are won by top 5 teams, 8th in the PL could be in Europe?
Just trying to hope lol

Look I’m gonna say something crazy but; what if we tried a 3-5-2 (when fully healthy of course)

Vic/Kinksy
Cuti, Danso, VdV
Porro, Deki, Bentancur, Madds, Udogie
Solanke, Tel

Not all the time and obviously with some interchangeable parts… but I’d like to see it

The gap he leaves behind is where a lot of our trouble comes from.

I’d actually like to experiment with a back 3 when VdV and Cuti are back as well. Danso played it and Lens. Could really push him up wide and funnel attacks forward

This. I think Porro needs the rest and I would love to see them together

Canadian MP Charlie Angus: He choked.

The market started to tank, and suddenly, he said, “Oh, didn’t you guys already have a plan to deal with the border back in December? I love that—I’ll take that.”

Understand there will be a buy option included in Mathys Tel's loan from Bayern Munich to Spurs, which will be wrapped up before the deadline. Spurs' search for another new centre-half looking increasingly fruitless, however. www.standard.co.uk/sport/footba...

Trump's approval rating is only 2% lower than his disapproval rating. It was six points lower at this point in his presidency in 2021. That's big league improvement.
