I took a few years off of publishing academic work - I'm far more sporadic than you are!
Not sleeping lately, high inflammation. But productive - I've drafted 2 books (1 on lyric, one on literary criticism/feminist critical theory) & proposed them to university presses, wrote 6 articles out of them submitted to various journals, & 1 article out of my PhD dissertation submitted #writing
I have severe IBD, and I just saw a meme that said "Girls who poop vs BITCHES that SHIT" and I am HOWLING with laughter

Into the dark I set loose a flock of syllables. I watch every word’s winging, bright- beaked, luminous. I should’ve clipped them gone.

As a translator of poetry, I agree. AI can NEVER capture the nuance of sentiment & meaning contained in poetry. As Heaney famously said, poets channel feeling into words. And as another poet I admire has said, poets summon meaning from elsewhere. It’s a transfer of ineffable energy no AI could grasp
