We are looking at a painting of St Liphardus - a 6th-century lawyer, hermit and abbot in Meung-sur-Loire near Orléans, France. He is wearing bishops clothing including a surplus and mitre and is holding a crook. On a lead is a small knee high green and blue dragon.

We’re very sorry sir but you cannot bring your emotional support dragon in here.

Two photos combined into one image. Top and bottom both show three Atlantic Puffins (Fratercula arctica) standing on some uneven, sparsely vegetated ground, part sandy and part stony. The Puffin on the right, with his or her beak open, is facing towards the other two. In the top picture, those two Puffins are leaning forward as if listening attentively. In the second picture they are standing upright and looking like they would rather be somewhere else. At least that's how I'm interpreting the scene! The Atlantic Puffin has a black back, wings, tail and neck, with the top of the head also black. Each side of the face is white. The eyes are black with orange rims, and the legs and webbed feet are orange. The colourful beak is narrow when seen from the front, triangular in shape when seen from the side. The base of the beak has a large patch of blue-grey enclosed within a pale yellow border, while the rest of the beak is red with a couple of pale yellow stripes.

Thirty seconds into Peter’s story, Penny and Paul realised they’d heard it before – and that it would go on for at least another ten minutes. #BirdOfTheDay #BeakOpen #Birds #Puffins #UKWildlife #EKC 🌿

The other day I was listening to a member of the library staff in my local city explaining patiently to a caller that a city centre library was likely to have people coming and going, and yes, children were allowed in libraries, so I think the caller shared your pain

George Galloway: “I have been assailed all day by a “children’s book community” so vile and vicious I’m amazed they even let them near kids #redmolucca”. He was retweeted five times. An account named @winnie_the_pooh, not believed to be connected either to the Disney corporation or the estate of A A Milne, responded with one word: “Tosser.” and was RTed 213 times by the time this well-worn screenshot was taken, perhaps more afterwards

Well, if it’s 14 March, that can only mean... naturally: the ninth anniversary of one of the finest exchanges from The Old Place

Watch this. Even Fox knew how tacky tRump looked wearing a baseball cap during a dignified transfer. They used old footage instead.

Tiled mural in pastel shades depicting historic rural and industrial scenes.

Cooperative mural, Gyula Bajó on the side of the former Co-operative House (now Primark), the first major retail premises to open in Stevenage Town Centre in June 1958. It depicts the ‘four cornerstones of a balanced economy – Industry, Commerce, Transport and Agriculture'.

Distant view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge from down river. The bright houses of Hotwells sit to the right of the bridge and everything is bathed in a warm, yellow light.
