In April, the Tribunal will be trying crab cake sandwiches, the dirty water hot dog, the Dodger dog, and zero practical jokes.
"The clams themselves were terrific, crisp and hot, the breading well-seasoned but the flavor of the bellies dominating, briny and sweet with a bit of a metallic liver-y flavor. I liked them best with a simple squeeze of lemon." Clam Like A Bomb
I’m sharing this video again because people don’t really get what these data centers and ai are doing to our planet and our communities. Especially Black communities because they were strategically placed there.
I need you to listen to these people.

When he tried the coney in 2013, Bourdain said this: "It seems like a simple thing: hot dog, chili, raw onion, mustard, steamed bun. But the delicate interplay between these ingredients, when done right, is symphonic." New York In Michigan: the Coney Dog
Boston scientists declare the "hot dog" the most nourishing of all sandwiches. The "Frankfurter" sandwich, selling for a nickel and scorned by many, contains two hundred and fifty calories, while the higher priced corned beef, tongue, cheese, and ham sandwiches yield below two hundred calories.
This just in (as of May 1921): the hot dog is the "most nourishing" of all sandwiches according to some unnamed Boston scientists
"If nothing else, the colors of this sandwich are spectacular, the deep browns and oranges of the beans and pork of course but especially the dark flecked sandstone of the salsa against the brilliant green and pink of the avocado and onions" Once Upon a Time in Yucatán: Cochinita Pibil
In March, the Tribunal will be trying the Clam Roll of New England, Yucatecan Cochinita Pibil, and the Coney Dogs of Detroit.
"Chili and cheese beg for that thin crisp tortilla chip texture and the tostadas work to support and augment these big flavors, the savory earthy warmth of the chili, the salty pungency of the cheese, punctuated by the sweetness of pimento." Ay Chihuahua Famosa!
"The breading had a lot of flavor, featuring a hint of that green seasoning marinade, the bright and pungent culantro flavor enhanced by the lime, the peppery heat of ginger, the pervasive allium of the onion, scallion, and garlic." Chicken Zinger Burger
"There is not a darn thing wrong with this sandwich--it's warm and savory, soft and comforting, satisfying without the need for aggressive flavors or a half-dozen condiments." What About Barb? It's a Massachusetts Thing
"There's a balance there between sweet and sour, between the rich butteriness of the cream cheese and the softness of the bread, enhanced by the aromatic nuttiness of the cherries." Church Basement Cherry Cheese
"Hot molten cheese and warm bread is a winning combination, especially with a nice hot tomato soup for dipping and a bright pickle spear on the side for a cool, crisp, briny bit of contrast." The Zombie Hordes... of Cheese
I'll keep them in mind! Supposedly Amigos has one too
Cheese Frenchees
I keep mental maps of the various parts of the world I might find myself visiting, culinary maps, the barebones makings of foodie itineraries to develop in case the world ever gives me the nudge I need to make my way there. Some of these maps are densely packed with must-hit…
In January, the Tribunal will investigate the Cheese Frenchee of Nebraska, Cheese Zombies from the US west coast, and New Brunswick's Cherry Cheese.
"I do like a strong-flavored sandwich filling like this, pungent and savory, sweet and sour, salty and sharp, and it doesn't hurt to put plenty of bread around something this potent." Cheese and Onion Sandwich

A photograph of the seminary gym in knives out. It has the same window.
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
"These were delicious, and delightful eaten out of hand without any additional adornment, the sharpness of the cheddar and the salty smoky bacon more than enough seasoning for the fist-sized hunks of bread." Australian Cheese and Bacon Rolls
"The chancla will seem familiar to a fan of the torta ahogada, but it's different enough to make it something else entirely, perhaps not even a sandwich but rather a sandwich-shaped arrangement of tasty things." Chanclas Poblanas
looks like a pastrami Reuben basically, and I'm picky about those. I can see 2 red flags already. I bet it's really good anyway though.
Unless you just posted it on a half-dozen different sites under different pseudonyms in which case, my bad. Anyway, as an old person, I connected deeply with your grumbling about how the internet isn't as good as it used to be :)
Thanks for having nice things to say about the site! btw I found your article because I got a handful of pingbacks from sites copying your post without attribution so I searched for the headline to find the original.
The warming tent at Christkindlmarket is a surefire spot to lose Whamageddon
In December, the Tribunal will be exploring the Chanclas of Pueblo, Mexico, Australia's Cheese and Bacon Rolls, and the British Cheese and Onion Sandwich.
"It's the coleslaw that throws some people off--that cool creamy salad sitting on a bed of hot chili and sausage may seem discordant. But the creaminess of the slaw complements the savory chili and the salty fatty sausage well." Dog Days: Carolina-Style Hot Dogs
"Deeply savory from the slow-cooked beef and the tomatoes, no sugar but the natural sweetness provided by the onions and peppers, with a touch of sour and bitter from the vinegar and olives to help brighten the other flavors" I'm Not Crazy... This Beef Is Crazy
tbh though I cared a *lot* more about Cassian watching Rogue One again after seeing Andor and so it raised the stakes for me and got me more invested in the movie.
