Had a good time at the local BSides conference today. I sat at a table with a bunch of IT dads who took me under their wings with a bunch of tips for when the baby comes

The Oxide and Friends ep on LLM rigor was cool, but how does this work when you don't start from the baseline of having a team exclusively filled with very competent and diligent members?

I don't know (or care, really) how mega-corps tackle this, but I am really curious of what a successful coding-agent-use framework could look like for small teams. Some way to identify "sufficient rigor" while having guardrails to prevent sloppy contributions from even getting to the review stage.

I want to build a script that blocks me from launching a coding agent unless I can provide sufficient evidence that I've actually thought things through on paper beforehand.

I'm grateful to not work for a tech company. It kind of looks like a bummer given some people's posting the past few months

I played it when the switch remaster came out a few years back and it blew me away. Godspeed, gamer

Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.

You want to stay relevant as a software developer for the next 10 years?

These are 3 major things you should focus on:

- GraphQL.
- Web Assembly.
- Web Components.

You will most likely end up using it so no better time to start learning it

I was humbled today. I dared to use a toy javascript framework a month ago thinking it'd make my life easier, but it only cause me pain. The solution was to rip it out and just use vanilla JS.
