I find this endlessly fascinating how it differs. In ours, green box is glass, cans and plastic, black box is card and paper, brown is garden waste, green caddy is food, black is everything else. But colours aside, I know people who have either two or even just one. How is this not standardised?

You have to have seen the first 28 Years Later for this one to really make sense, and that was only 6 months ago. That wasn’t the case with the first. So if you factor in the narrower audience, the fact some people didn’t like that one means you’ll inevitably get a smaller return no?

Get the fuck out of here! (Etc etc.) But yes music is quite astonishing now for swearing. Long gone are the days of having to listen to RATM for your F words, it’s in the most basic pop ditties

Lethal Weapon was actually the first 18 I ever saw, round a mate of my dad’s. Not traumatised

I remember seeing the original version of Beverly Hills Cop years after I’d regularly been watching a taped-off-TV dub and I was astounded by the swearing

I didn’t realise it was unusual till a chat with my wife flagged that it very much was. Seemed to make sense to me. Also random Harrow only bubble: no sixth forms, colleges were all tertiary. Pros and cons to that one

@samuelwroberts.bsky.social Just catching up on your Bully episode, really good, very fond memories of that game. But random memory based on your “why are year 7s & year 11s in the same school” point. I grew up in Harrow & year 7 was in primary school. We started high school in year 8. No idea why

Why not both? 🥳

Those two and the OG above are unbelievable. While Origin of Symmetry’s first half is pretty flawless, think this is the best overall album they’ve done

Oh I meant the album. I Want You Like an Accident is ace particularly. But yes as a massive dEUS fan, i can see that you’re tight. Not convinced I’d “found” dEUS at that point

Had to search what you meant ha. Random. Used to love this record

I guess it’s focusing on the best. I have fond memories of that horse demo where it just didn’t work, though. That and Star Wars Kinect, peak Kinect frippery

This Peanuts / Alien strip is pretty cool, and also a good demonstration of the slightly surprising story breaks in a great monster movie. Usually your beast only reveals itself properly halfway through. Look:

It’s really good, how many planned in the series? I’m digging the almost Framley-adjacent vibe of it. Also resonates as I spent a lot of my youth in and around Essex. Big shout out to Kelvedon

Yeah it’s the joint lowest ever.

It really is, has a hypnotic atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend for anyone into close-to-home weirdness

Great cover. I just bought their tribute to Aphex Twin which is one of the finest quality bookazines I’ve ever seen

It is. Luckily the music lives up to it. They’ve not done a bad record, mind
