look, i resurface since this happened in honour of my friends watching #akotsk and for the sake of becoming less rusty in spontaneous studies

also this is for all those who discovered the Bertie Carvel beyond the Baelor Targaryen and stumbled upon "Matilda", i know you weren't ready

I’ve been working on my portfolio recently and this has been one of my favourite pieces. I can’t wait to turn this little mouse into an adorable boookmark

Finally finished my Cult of the Lamb fanart and only realised now that I forgot some details on the bishops 😭

I love watercolour but why does it take so long for the layers to dry? 😫

These are all gorgeous but that first one!!! I’ll be thinking about the composition of it for days

We do not support gen AI in the book, art and music communities. Ever. It has no place amongst human expression. It’s soulless, it’s theft and it’s damaging the planet. If you use it knowing that, you have betrayed your fellow humans, and I want nothing to do with you.

I lied. Line art first 😂
Lately I’ve been debating wether I prefer this type of line art or to paint everything first and then add some detail with pencil

The sketch is done, now it’s time for some watercolour

I’ve been having so much fun drawing the COFTL characters lately. The bishops especially have such fun character design

A photo of a person holding a drawing of a bee comb with four bees in it. Behind the drawing there’s a plant.

My little comic about bees is almost done. It’s coming along a little slower than I’d like but I haven’t had time for more 🐝

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are admiring a small wooden dresser they bought.
Blue: It was a good price for such a nice dresser.
Green: Yep.

Blue looks at Green in confusion as Green turns around to go get something.
Green: Well, now all it needs is the final touch.

Blue's confusion deepens as Green returns with a large bag.
Green: Buttons, pins, nuts and bolts, rubber bands, foreign coins, and lint!

Blue continues to stare at Green, utterly baffled, as Green looks up at him while casually pouring the bag's contents into the drawers.
Blue: You are the reason why those show up in every drawer?
Green: Of course?

Warming up with some fanart today. I finally played Cult of the Lamb recently and I have to admit that it’s even better than what people were saying. It’s such a fun and quirky game, with an adorable art style to boot.

I finally managed to capture the birds singing while I was painting in the balcony 🍀

Meanwhile the work continues on my little comic about bees

The first layer of colour is done. I’m finally trying to overcome my fear of mixing greens (for some reason it’s the colour I struggle the most to match different tones)

Photo of a traditional drawing. It’s still mostly just a sketch in green pencil but some parts have already been painted in watercolour. The drawing is of a colourful beehive, the plants that surround it and happy bees zooming around.

My favourite illustration from this past week. I still think it has a really big Ghibli vibe to it
