All of these games go SO hard. I play tested Cosmic Century Knights and it's genuinely one of my new favorite games for the character building mechanics alone. Back this one. Strong vouch.

A small watercolor of a mature Steller's Sea Eagle with the white forehead, shoulder, and tail feathers. It is perched on a weathered branch against a blue sky.
Alaskan bird painted on an Alaska cruise #oceaniariviera #oceaniacruises #stellersseaeagle
Josiah with a life size model of his favorite "dinosaur", the Quetzalcoatlus. Josiah is reaching up to touch the model's keel bone: he is nearly as tall as its shoulders.
It's on the website now so I guess I can scream about it: my extremely awesome husband was invited to be Science Guest of Honor at COSine next January!!!
I'm so proud of him, and he's thrilled! Get ready for some Very Enthusiastic Science!!

A small gouache painting (6x8) of a raven perched on a grapevine with leaves and fruit, against a purple and yellow sunset sky
I just liked painting a raven ๐คท

People are always askin what they can do so here we go
THANK YOU FOR BEING MY FRIEND!!!!!!!! @pringusmcdingus.bsky.social
Here's a better photo that really shows the gold. And a whale version too
Claude Cahun with hearts on their face and I AM IN TRAINING DON'T KISS ME shirt
There is always something you can do to gum up the works of fascism.
A story. Claude Cahun. The queer nonbinary French-Jewish photographer.
Nazis conquered France, were training soldiers on Jersey, where Cahun lived w/their partner, Marcel Moore.
They did disinfo & morale smashing via Surrealism.
A watercolor illustration: a round geometric stained glass window like form in gold over a star field/nebula like background with blues, reds, and greens.
Josiah thinks I should call this one "God's kitchen window"
I forgot how much I love colored pencils some times. This is done.
I forgot how much I love colored pencils some times. This is done.
A colored pencil illustration of a couple in mid dance, gazing adoringly into each other's eyes. The background is a blue burst of color. The right hand figure is complete: a woman in a red velvet dress with silvery blue sleeves and sleeve lining, her strawberry blonde hair in a braid over one shoulder. The left hand figure is still to be finished, but his face and hair is mostly colored in.
There's our Baroness done, now for her handsome Baron.
Color! Blue watercolor background, faces pretty much done, working our way outward.
Though I may need to untape it, iron it flat, and retape it before continuing. It didn't dry flat enough for me after the watercolor like this paper usually does ๐ค
Decided on a flame lynx point ๐คท but this nebula kitty is finished
Same as the previous post up-thread but with the sketchlines slightly darkened and the reference lines erased.
There we go, little bit better. Now some color.
A pencil sketch with vertical, horizontal, & diagonal reference lines of a couple in the middle of a dance, gazing adoringly into each other's eyes. It is from approximately the waist up, and on 6x8 paper with 3/4โ margins.
Portraits are hard. Why do people have such faces??
Anyway. Sketch of gift art for my neighboring Baron & Baroness because they're awesome and also got me a lovely thoughtful Midwinter gift & I want to do something lovely for them in return. (If you know the Righ Tuatha in question, shhhhh)

Quote repost with yer wings!!
The up-thread illustration, but completed. The buttes have shadows, and there is the impression of dark green shadowed foliage in the foreground to midground, trailing up the butte sides and base.
Calling this done. Available, if folks are interested.
A watercolor & colored pencil illustration of a desert canyon at night - where a galaxy band would normally be in a night sky is instead veins of black opal with lots of rainbow flash. The foreground and parts of the opal veins are still unfinished.
More random acts of art. Work in Progress - my only excuse for this was I had old seasons of "Outback Opal Hunters" on in the background while I worked on another project.
A colored pencil drawing, same as the one in the post up-thread, but more vibrant with more layers of pencil. There's thin threads of black like nebula or lightning in amongst the pinks and purples and blues of the swirls. The cat is still blank and uncolored.
Ok what color should the cat be, y'all?
I was thinking lynx point? ๐ค What do y'all think?
What if you ran away to the countryside and discovered your society crush is the heir to a secret fey family and you have to fight off their other suitors to secure the marriage??? ๐ณ๐ซฃ
A 6x8 inch colored pencil drawing of a lightning-trailing cloud-gray eagle against a thunderstorm backdrop. There's a tiny bit of gray-blue sky on the right side. The lightning trailed by the eagle is slightly blue tinted on the edges. There's some pink too.
Finished!
A drawing of a grayscale eagle trailing lightning across a cloudscape, on toned tan paper held to a board with pink masking tape. It is unfinished, the clouds to the left of (behind) the eagle only barely suggested.
Today's art progress
I forgot to take a "before" pic but it was linework and the white lightning and a little shading on the leading edge of the wings.
I dunno what the lighting is doing with the clouds but it's cool I guess
A small 2.5 inch by 3.5 inch watercolor portrait of a ferruginous hawk against a very blue sky.

Hey Bluesky, things are continuing to be dicey here in the Mingault household. My partner is still job hunting.
If anyone has any leads on a #bioinformatics or #datascience position for a PhD, preferably in #Colorado or remote, I would be very grateful.
Here's his resume:

The most recent batch of badges - painted but not yet sealed or backed.
A big batch of name tags, completed. Some have ribbons attached declaring titles or officer roles.
One I did special: instead of painted white first, it is stained a light walnut color, and then the letters are painted on top of that. It was finished with bails so it could be hung on a ribbon instead of magnet pinned.
The first batch I did for teachers at our Newcomers event, to make it as Newcomer friendly as possible. There are labels out ribbons with titles or roles on some of them.
One of the things I do for #mySCA kingdom (or really just anyone who asks) is make magnetic name badges.
I got the idea from an SCA #ScribalArt discord, & started w/ people teaching at or in charge of our Newcomers event.
& it kinda spiralled from there ๐
here's some examples of ones I've done
A chibi-fied lineup of almost all my exalted characters, 12 of them, with appropriate height scaling. Qismet, on the left, is the shortest guy, and Kallias, on the right, the tallest.
A black & white & gold pencil and ink drawing of my three Zenith caste Solar exalted. Pyrrhus is top center, his hands clasped in prayer. Sneak, at bottom right, holds her artifact spear. Zaela, at bottom left, smiles shyly from beneath her crown.
Cover art for my fan novel, Quickburned. At the right of the image, backlit by a desert mountain sunset, is the dawn caste Solar, Caleb Wraith. He is dressed in desaturated blues in a vaguely 1880s cowboy style: waistcoat and shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a large gold buckle just barely visible. There are orichalcum gold "pistols" at his hips, and a "rifle" resting on his shoulder. A red scarf is draped around his neck, and he looks off to the right contemplatively.
I get to play #exalted again this weekend for the first time in a _while_ so get an art dump of characters
#mySCA #Outlands #ScribalArt I always forget the hashtags
