My dad sent me this
Love it! One of the all time great character designs. You nailed her personality.
The vanity plate on the car in front of me, not bothering anybody: “MCF”
My brain: “Ah, yes. My Chemical Fromance.”
Music for the month of August! This is out of 1,626 minutes streamed through Apple Music. If CDs listened to in the car were included, Bob Mould and Maxtone Four would’ve been #1 & 2, easy.
Yeah, Spotify Wrapped is fine, but Apple Music lets you see your top plays every month! Here’s my July. If time spent listening to CDs was included, that Aimee Mann number would probably double.
Remember that amazing comic we made together where you conjured an entire amazing world in 2 pages? That was just 3 months ago…not that far in the rear view mirror at all.
Everyone’s creativity comes and goes in waves…sometimes you’re bursting with ideas, other times you don’t know which line to put first and the page stays blank. You’ll come around eventually. Just give yourself some grace, and give inspiration time to come back.
Nelly in the 90s, with a St. Louis Rams jersey and some bling
Nelly, more recently
Born Nov. 2, 1974, Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. -- known to the world as Nelly -- is 18,530 days old today, matching Wilford Brimley's age on the day 'Cocoon' was released. Congrats Nelly! You've reached the Brimley/Cocoon Line.
Wait, were yours stickers or pins?
Paging @wearetheunforgiven.com!
A very shitty drawing done in a minute of Milk and Cheese yelling VIBE WARFARE. For reasons.
I don't understand modern culture, I just know thirty five years ago I would've had a two-page strip with these idiots ready tomorrow for a FedEx flight to the Deadline office. Instead I drew this dumbness in a minute before going to bed. I old.
As happens once or twice a year, I woke up with a song from the movie “God Help the Girl” stuck in my head. This led to me listening to the soundtrack this morning, which means I’ll listen to almost nothing else all week, which means I’ll have to watch the film this weekend. God, I love this movie.
Quote tweeting to remember to show my daughter tomorrow. Love these!
Favorite movie right there.
Writers—every time you think to yourself, “Wouldn’t it be cool if these characters were related to each other?” Take a deep breath, and then throw yourself down a flight of stairs.
He was so, so good. His run on X-Factor in the 2000s was one of the most consistently great superhero comics of that era.

All it needs is a “, Big Brother!” at the end and I’d believe this was an actual manga.
Interviewer: Can you explain this gap in your resume.
Scott McCloud: See that space BETWEEN the panels? That’s what comics aficionados have named “the gutter...”

A comic I wrote for Free Comic Book Day! @pencilforge.bsky.social killed it with the artwork on this one.
Was not prepared for how good this movie was.
(I edited the book and wrote a 2-page story in it with art by @pencilforge.bsky.social )
Tomorrow is #FreeComicBookDay! If you’re in the St. Louis area, swing by Wizard’s Wagon (U City Loop), Comic Headquarters (S. County), All-American Comics (S. I mean, I *was* expecting his first 100 days to be awful so it’s not entirely wrong…
Hamlet Mania’s got less than 12 hours to go! If you like Dead Leaves, Shakespeare, and Queer wrestling - you will love this book!

On this #420day, we celebrate the 52nd anniversary of performers “Gail & Dale” singing the hit, “One Toke Over the Line,” on Lawrence Welk.
Neither had an idea the song was about pot, and Welk thought the song was a “modern spiritual.”
