currently playing bravely default 2. fought the beastmaster boss, and who the hell decided to give the boss a counter: any attack skill when you got some dumbass NPC guest party member that just keeps attacking the boss with no way to control him? castor barely does any damage too, just fucks me up.

I've heard many praises for 3, I'm really excited for it!

Definitely give them a listen! Their analyses are really good. They did one for Xenogears, too, and they go real in depth with that game.

I've also been watching Resonant Arc's analysis episodes as I played through the game. It really helped elevate the experience and helped me understand some of the concepts better. Gonna do the same thing when I play Xenosaga III.

Finished Xenosaga II! I'm not sure why people in the Xeno community didn't like this game. I thought the characters were pretty well written, and the relationships between them were well done (particularly Ziggy, Momo, and Juli). Gameplay was kinda meh, but I overall enjoyed my time with this game.
