Machines can never produce true art because they can never be horny, the first step in making any piece of art
The plan to demonize creativity, the arts and entrepreneurship while simultaneously shoving AI products down our throats that seemingly make 99% of things worse isn't going to work. We need the robots do the laundry while the people make stuff robots can't dream of. That's a good future.

There's a joke about a trans woman meeting up with all her old (male) buddies, who are pretty accepting of her new life. They ask her about the hardest part: surgery or buying all new clothes... she counters that the tough bit was that her paycheck mysteriously cut in half! That was like the 80s.
When you drop a bomb on civilians, I think that’s murder. I don’t really care for any justifications. They’re people. The enormity of the loss is devastating and it’s easier for some people to look away. But for other people, that’s their family. Their children. It’s just sickening and so wrong.
being a guy in a mostly woman office environment is the greatest gig in human history if they can just get over the "treat them like people" hurdle

GAME CHANGER: Montana just found the "exit ramp" to kill Citizens United. They aren't waiting for the Supreme Court—they’re going around them. 74% of voters are on board and corporate lawyers are PANICKING. This is how we win. 🏔️💸 www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/army-secre...
also the majority of the time those "bluesky users keep chasing away experts" stories are because the expert is an expert in like "why we have to nuke the three gorges dam" or "coming up with taking points about how people are lying about their economic hardships"

American society is listening to a bunch of nightmarish conservatives accuse trans people of being sex monsters for simply existing and then turning around and complaining on TV that not enough fifteen year old girls are getting pregnant
Your life online will improve immeasurably when you learn to see a post by someone, quietly say to yourself "I can see the frustration or anger this is coming from and understand that you may not be wording it perfectly, and the issue I have with it is not important" and keep scrolling

thank you so very much for writing aftertaste ^^
Praise for the Bluesky Edition of Aftertaste [Aftertaste may be the best book l've ever read. @lord-goosifer.bsky.social By turns delightful, harrowing, dizzying, silly, savage, heartbreaking, and strangely hopeful @tamsin.reimaginedgirl.social I didn't see a path forward and (Aftertaste/ changed that. Thank you, And fuck you, And love you. @madscutter.bsky.social I am not the same person ) was going into it. Highly, HIGHLY recommended. @dollaryydoos.bsky.social Devastatingly beautiful. Marvelous! Aftertastel fundamentally changed me, and really spoke to the truth and persistence of trans existence. @lotspaghero.bsky.social Every word of praise is thoroughly deserved. Aftertaste is incredibly good at hurting the reader deeply, but in All the Right Ways. @huhhowdoibluethis.bsky.social Every tender moment leaves me looking over my shoulder for the next tragedy to strike, which really encapsulates the trans experience. You'll love it. @jojosey.bsky.social 1 am begging you, if you haven't read Aftertaste yet, please fucking read it! @awkward.gay Through all the hate and bigotry, may our stories shine bright, and defiant, and messy, and beautiful forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. @deunode.bsky.social Aftertaste is being fully rewritten and expanded into a complete novel. A print release is in the works.
That my book inspired this sentence is just staggering.
“Through all the hate and bigotry, may our stories shine bright, and defiant, and messy, and beautiful forever.”
Thank you for this gift, @devnode.bsky.social, it means so much to me
I have a father and mother in law in Iran. I have a sister in law. A niece. She's 14. She likes silly pink headbands and purses and dresses, just like kids her age all over the world. There are 93 million people like her in Iran. People who do all the normal mundane life things as the rest of us.
