I can't decide which is worse; normalizing the surveillance state or Prego pasta sauce.
Infowars/Onion combo logo in rainbow saying “I support the onion’s hostile media takeover.”
It’s finally happened. After 18 months. Finally, a media merger you can root for.
That boot must taste amazing
Where is your IR theory now?
If we get more than a strongly worded press release I'll eat my hat.
Given we keep coming back to lawns in my environmental law course this semester, I'm adding a section for next time about lawn laws. Calling this part of the syllabus:
"Why you should take your lawn out back and shoot it, put it in your car, and bury it under Giants stadium, but you legally can't"
Imagine being this useless at your job, the administration is launching illegal wars and you're over there trying to shame them for lying. Absolutely useless, each and every one of them.
Ban the fucking polymarkets. Betting on death. Betting on war while Incentivizing death and war. Shaping foreign/domestic policy by rewarding the rich people already in the know and encouraging them to make decisions that destroy the world while padding their pockets. Burn it down.
For fucks sake, we're governed by a bunch of 13 year old boys.
3 grad students in a trench coat?
Hey hey hey, the Bar association said stop being mean to the Justices and the Court. They don't want to destroy the planet, they just want businesses to have freedom (to destroy the planet).
If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite ,,, I’ll host them in Las Vegas. Do some nice dinners and shows and good times.
I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
And my students wonder why my syllabi gets longer and longer every single semester.
this is what I hear whenever I hear AI proponents hyped about their products
The Court does enough already to threat its own legitimacy, but also if the Court wants to play in politics then they can be treated like politicians and face criticism.
Be right back, scrapping all my end of semester writing assignments to instead be "whomever trolls AI the best gets an A in the course."
I have zero faith that if we come out the other side of this that any meaningful lessons will be learned or changes made.
Best we will get are fundraising emails
Adding this into my slides on manufactured consent.
Dogs: 11/10
Surveillance state: 0/10
The Times, out of touch and hostile to change?! Never!
Small teaching wins: My students called bullshit on that Ring 'help the dogs!' ad as just an excuse for more surveillance.
In the last 10 years I've met only one person who watched him. I don't understand how he is still relevant.
I think a lot of us who laughed at Vermin Supreme around 2020 owe him an apology, he's meeting the moment better than most politicians.
I'm sure body cameras will fix this.
They're also a "useful" for officers and their defenders for creating conflicting narratives and generally muddying the public conversation.
My expectations are in the gutter and yet I'm still surprised. This is the liberal equivalent of "thoughts and prayers." Meaningless platitudes you hope allow you get past a news cycle.
