I put in the work. Friends who recommend me are doing so not because they're friends but because they know I can Put In The Work. The pay I've had for most of my life is tragic, but I Put In The Work anyway and Take It Seriously. It's not perfect, nothing is, but I guarantee you'll be happy with it.
Posts by JJSignal is still open for work!!
I'm not good at asking for help on matters like this because I hate feeling like a burden to others. I hate every second of asking friends for help, but the pressure is building and everything is upside down. I waded through nightmares last year. I'm only surviving through friends.
At a loss today. A job I finally thought was a slam dunk, fell within my skill set, had recommendations, two good interviews, and was local, said thanks anyway. Do I start a Go Fund Me? Would a Patreon to follow a potential Hypercard game be worth it? Fully demoralized and running on borrowed time.
I'm at least happy for that.
It's raining today, and it'll rain tomorrow and the day after maybe.
I got the blue one for Gunstar Heroes, also a favorite GG color. Was excited to hear that you did a menu track for it at the time!
yeah still gonna flex the fact i made menu music for legit sega console hardware
one of my life career goals was to work on audio for toys. believe it or not i originally didn’t aspire to be a game composer as much as i wanted to just mess around with soundchips.
but this at least hit both realms😁
Just carry a little vial of half & half when you're out for a stroll to pour into some BOSS/Pokka Black (not advisable)!
Sketch of Nifty Nevada from Snap & Grab with style inspo from the Madonna music video, "Vogue." Slightly later than when our game takes place but we didn't end up using it, so there
One week until our game Snap & Grab (@nogoblin.social) comes out! One of the many many many sketches from when we were coming up with keyart, just rolling in music video references
For over a decade I've been wondering what this freaking font is, because I kept constantly seeing it in Japanese gaming media from the 80s and 90s. It wasn't until in recent years when I discovered that the font is called Tankoin AL-KL (淡古印 AL-KL) and it was made by Shaken (写研) in 1979.
Rock looks so cool in Metropolis.
Also Dr. Comics & Mr. Games rules. Love them!
I think it's home to the old large Pikachu hardware that used to be in the shuttered Japan Town mall arcade now.
I'm due for another visit as soon as I A) Have A Job Again and B) Have Money Again. There's a housemate that's been wanting to check it out for a while now. The lady there is so nice, I have two original enamel pins for the premiere of Robot Carnival and some What's Michael figurines from there.
I decided to re-register an account to enjoy the memes of our 1990s #MoonChild game. 😁👍
I designed Hoi and Moon Child. Reinier van Vliet coded it, and Ramon Braumuller made the soundtrack.

Oh man. They're all good.
It's full of charm. I think I streamed it very shortly after we released our first game. Maybe around November/Decemberish. They both released in the same year, with theirs being in January, ours in October. Really comfy game and Frederick Jenks is a very likable detective.

Contradiction: Spot The Liar is fantastic.
A tune I made entirely within the Hypnospace Outlaw sequencer. A fun little tool that has some neat quirks to work with @jaytholen.net
The most bad-ass rebuttal from Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.
It felt so overlooked and I love every bit of it. Don't care for the dubstep seeping into the battle music, but the soundtrack is sleek, the characters and world is cool, and the fighting is extremely satisfying. It feels so dense and thought out and yet missed out on. Awesome monster designs too.
I ended up getting it based on, I think, the multiple times you recommended it in things. The way it handles the tone of its world is really good.
I was just thinking about the Spawn animated series literally about 20 to 30 minutes ago. I rewatched it about 3 or 4 years ago to recall my thoughts on its pacing. I think season 3 is the best and where it should have started. Season 3 is gorgeous. But my only interactions were that and the toys!
Sonic speeds away from a pair of G.U.N. soldiers on the Space Colony ARK.
A seaside city built on a hill with boats drifting in the foreground. It looks like a perfect escape.
Sonic blazes towards a path of rings in Green Forest.
A winding railroad path between the Pumpkin Hills.
What you see is what you get, just some never-before-seen pieces of concept art!

Moon Child began life as an Amiga AGA title before shifting to PC, where it finally saw release in 1997. A fascinating glimpse into a project caught between two eras. More here:

Coffee & donut time. I went for the dumbest looking donut (there was a Crunch Berries one too).
