That sounds exhausting. Hope you have a good swim though!

It's sunny here so I've been trying to do uni work and take breaks outside and watch the squirrels!

PIP 4-point rule impact:

• 1.3m people at risk
• 440k (33%) expected to lose benefits
• 860k expected to keep them via worsened conditions/appeals
• Ratio: 1 loses for every 2 who keep benefits

Why terrorize 1.3m people then? #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePip

Rayner refuses to rule out punishing Labour MPs who rebel over welfare cuts Deputy PM defends government plan predicted to result in 1.2m people with disabilities losing thousands

There is no economic case for cutting disability benefits.

There is no moral case for cutting disability benefits.

It won't help people into employment.

It'll mean many who are working won't be able to.

It'll destroy the health and social care system.

It'll end lives.

Condition must be diagnosed by NHS

Condition must be diagnosed by NHS

If your in #SEND or #Neurodivergent care. Private diagnosis just became unsafe. The latest #DisabilityBenefits documents just ruled out anything other than a NHS diagnosis will count. It has serious knock on effects this. Even for children now & later in life. #Autistic #Adhd

DWP launches entirely bogus Green Paper consultation Get the benefits you're entitled to: help with personal independence payment (PIP), universal credit (UC), employment and support allowance (ESA),disability living allowance (DLA). Claims, assessments...

Benefits and Work have done a really good piece here, looking at what the DWP is and isn't consulting on.
It isn't consulting on the major issues: scrapping WCA; PIP Daily Living & UC Health Element; freezing UC HE until 2029/30; 4-point criterion for PIP

What’s LCWRA?
It’s a part of Universal Credit for people who are medically assessed as unable to work.

Labour plans to:
– Cut support by 50% for new claimants
– Reassess existing ones

That means more fear, more poverty, more harm.

This one is going to court. We won’t allow it.

Labour's Disability benefit reforms will push 340,000 people into poverty, exacerbating the harms of a welfare system that is already killing people.

NSUN is appalled by these proposals (1/3).

Reminder that the government is killing disabled people, and anyone supporting the government is completed in killing them.

Not going to be nice mince words about it, if you are offended by this then you are part of the problem.

Further benefits cuts planned as Rachel Reeves forced to find extra £1.6bn Chancellor risks wrath of Labour backbenchers with spring statement set to confirm deeper cuts

Britain's 177 billionaires sit on £965 bn - more EACH than the average Brit will earn in 1000 lifetimes.

So obviously, Labour decided NOT to have a 2% wealth tax on this obscene, unspendable hoarding. More poverty for 6.9m disabled Britons is their solution.
