The man above him smirks.
“What’s your name, freckles?”
Izuku scowls, bristling at the nickname. Suddenly, the man seems much less handsome.
His body is also perfectly shaped, his biceps thick and handsomely filling the sleeves of the brown leather jacket he’s wearing. His waist is small, a contrast to the thick baggy pants that cover toned legs.
This man almost seems otherworldly.
Are all people from the surface world this ethereal?
A set of bright crimson eyes meets his own as the man looks down at him.
Aesthetically, the man has a handsome face, with a pointed chin and sharp cheekbones. His hair is blonde, thick, and unruly, and his skin is flawless with a colorful, healthy glow to it.

He hears something drop onto the floor. Then hands fall into his hair. Izuku gasps, trying to pull away, but the man simply says,
“Relax, I’m just tryin’ to take off the blindfold.”
Izuku stills with a huff.
Finally, light floods his vision.
“Think about what I said. You could help a lot of people.”

Katsuki shrugs.
They’re quiet for a few beats, but the silence is filled with the sounds of birds chirping in the distance. Izuku expects Katsuki to leave right there and then, but he doesn’t.
Katsuki looks back over his shoulder at Izuku one more time.

Finally, Katsuki stops him, looking at Izuku with a frown—like he’s trying to figure out what to say, but for some reason, he can’t do it. He keeps opening and closing his mouth, before finally, he turns away, putting his hands in his pants pockets.
“The tunnel is just up ahead,” he says.

Just a tiny Drabble I wrote for a new fic I’m working on. No idea if I’ll actually keep this in the fic, but enjoy! :)
Izuku’s breath stops in his throat. He looks at Katsuki—really looks at him—and it’s then that it finally clicks.
“K…Kacchan?”
“What are you talking about?”
Katsuki lets out a soft chuckle. His eyes are shiny.
“Do you remember patching up my knees in the tunnels? Or going to the bakery with me once a week to get those cinnamon buns you liked so much? Or—when my parents died—when they sent me to the orphanage…”

Katsuki looks at him with a gentleness Izuku hadn’t even realized he could possess. He places a hand on Izuku’s cheek. It’s warm, and with him this close, Izuku can smell his unique scent—burnt sugar and cinnamon.
