I think they will “rig” the elections not through a “complex and sophisticated effort” but through the say blunt force methods they are using everywhere else. By seizing election machines, militias around polling places, purging voter rolls, that sort of thing - pure force with a blunt instrument.

Here is some interesting context about the situation with Greenland. In 1916, the U.S. signed a treaty with Denmark stating that the U.S. "will not object to the Danish Government extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland."
