Ithaca College's Ed Tech Day panel on Student Opinions with AI:
I'm really happy that I was invited to be on the panel and talk with folks afterwards. AI and Large Language Models' integration into collegiate institutions is really hard to get right, and I hope we continue to improve on privacy […]

@vetehinen So much. Cut a truck off in a salvation army parking lot, went past me twice before I even got in, went down a street that was too narrow and didn't pull over to let the other car thru, tried to turn when there was somebody coming out of a street that it couldn't fit thru (they had to […]

Waymo is so scary. Perhaps not unsafe, but still scary in the way it drives. Undercooked, I think. Will stick to the feet & the bus for now! #waymo #technology

Here's my more specific, less buzz-wordy stance on how I approach building ethical LLM-powered software […]

This whole Cox/Sony business reminds us that copyright law is only about the big guys. Copyright law was never made to support individual producers, and it is just twisted and bent to chase after individuals when pennies on the dollar go to the artists themselves.

We can live in a better world […]

Premium price should buy premium raw materials. Tired of this polyester-socks aluminum-can-iPhone era we live in. Bring back wood, leather, granite. Make a statement piece that is refined and timeless. Make it right and make it last. I see a future where computers are like countertops.

Bring back:
- Apps/OS having intro music
- Esoteric file formats
- Browser wars
- Kernel panic all the time just for fun
- Every version looks totally different even if it's basically the same hardware

Pass me a note! Draw something cool and print it out to the receipt printer on my desk.
