this is an attempt at a new way to do social media that is more like an actual commons, rather than a fake commons owned by a corporation. that is the meaningful social innovation.

bluesky is not a cohost or Twitter 2. it is an application running on top of an open, decentralized, authenticated protocol that anyone can extend, use, or interoperate on.

it would be a massive failure for this to become cohost or twitter 2.
