Speaking as an artist: if youre looking for something custom, best place to look imo is Artstation or here on Bluesky! Artstation front page might have artists outside your budget, but searching any term will lead you to a bunch of students or novice artists to browse. Oh, discord servers also good!

I want to host a little community event for folks interested in #Drawsteel. Thinking a short like 1 hour twitch stream where people can vote on character ideas in the chat, and I sketch them out live. Later, I'll fully render them and share them as free DS tokens.
Would people be down for that?

The MCDM fanart channel is also a great place to find artists who aren't official, but who DO know the source material and are always 'entry level' rates fwiw
Besides that, threads on Bluesky and subreddits always have active artists looking - we want to find you as much as you want to find us!
The highest bar for illustration is a site called Artstation. There's alot of career professionals there, but also alot of students/beginner artists who often have "looking for work" in their profile and probably have lower rates
In working with members of the DS community, I've noticed alot of folks are legitimately curious to know more about illustration/how the commission process works...
So if you have any questions about illustration, commissioning artists, etcetera, drop them below and I'll try to answer!

After watching Avatar: Fire and Ash last night, I remembered how much I enjoyed the first and second movies as well. Very easy to get immersed, and at least for the third one I think the emotional pacing was just right for me
