One of the things Henry does when he gets overwhelmed is he goes dead weight. That wasn’t as big of a deal when he was little. But he’s a freaking tank now.

His elementary class had a video every day that would play telling them the month, the day, and some of the things they’d do that day. He really liked it.

Yeah we are always tweaking his IEP as well, as new things come up. He’s in middle school now and that was a tough transition to his new special ed class.

Does she also struggle with breaks from school?

Anyway, that’s just some of our life. We love him to death obviously.

He’s content right now beating a stick against his swing in the backyard. I really want to help him experience more things and be more comfortable getting out of his house and school cocoon.

We were supposed to go to the Reds game tonight with a group he’s a part of, but just mentioning it made him anxious and spiral.

Some of you know that my son is special needs. I won’t get into everything, but one thing he struggles with is routine and anxiety when that is broken. I really wish we could find a way to help him with that.
