I won’t share RFK Jr.’s lies about autism.
It’s disgusting and dangerous.
If he had a shred of decency, he would apologize and resign.
Autistic people contribute every day to our nation’s greatness.
To every kid with autism, I’m in this fight all the way for you.

Boycotting the grocery store until they start buying an equivalent volume of groceries from me
A picture of a bus ad that says “TARIFFS ARE A TAX ON HARDWORKING AMERICANS”
Salute to the Canadians for putting these ads up in downtown DC, they’re right and they should say it more 🫡
Toronto shopping street
Half of business owners on this Toronto street estimated that more than 25% of their customers arrived by car.
In fact, it was 4%.
And the % of customers who who walked or cycled? 72%.
Retailers routinely overestimate the # of “car customers.” Via @carltonreid.com www.forbes.com/sites/carlto...
I think about this at least once a week
Bike lanes are being considered as a part of the Columbia Heights Crosstown Bus Priority Study which would close the gap between Columbia Rd and the Irving St Crosstown. Construction goal is 2026, so far from final design yet buspriority.ddot.dc.gov/pages/crosst...
the gordie howe bridge
The opening of the $6.4B Gordie Howe border crossing bridge later this year is shaping up to be the most awkward party of all time.
A reminder for these times.
An upside-down American flag hangs from El Capitan near Yosemite National Park’s Horsetail Fall on Saturday to protest the thousands of federal job cuts made by President Donald Trump’s administration. Tracy Barbutes/Special to the Chronicle
Brilliant protest. Yosemite National Park workers hung an upside-down American flag — traditionally a symbol of distress or a national threat — thousands of feet off the ground on the side of El Capitan.
If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.
If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.
I feel like I'm going insane every time I see a media story about DOGE that doesn't also mention the fact that the Government Accountability Office exists and performs the exact function that DOGE pretends to, only in a credibly constitutional, non-partisan, and conflict-of-interest-free manner
My guess is they chose the blue line because it is less frequent. And the pocket track at Mount Vernon Square likely doesn’t have the turn capacity for both the Franconia and Huntington branches.
This is a Blue Line train to… Greenbelt? Kinda cursed, but makes sense operationally
Gulf of Distraction
If you wanted to decrease the cost of homes, one thing you wouldn’t do is put a flat tariff on your main source of timber.
If you paid for a blue check this month on Elon Musk’s X, then you paid more than Elon Musk’s Tesla paid in taxes last year — which is $0.
Instead of cutting Social Security and Medicare, make billionaires and corporations pay their fair share in taxes.

It's actually theft of taxpayers money when websites go dark. We paid for that data
pros and cons list on a lined piece of paper PUT IN PROTECTED MOBILITY LANES? ROVELO CREATIVE Pros Reduces fatalities Reduces injuries Vore people biking Less pollution Economic boost Less congestion Healthier population Kids biking/rolling to school Safer sidewalks Helps address the climate emergency Increase active transportation More inclusive spaces If only the pros outweighed the cons. Cons A driver might get mad
If only the pros outweighed the cons
Close DCA and develop the land into high density mixed uses. Then use the increased tax revenues to build a high speed train to Dulles.
There’s no evidence that vaccines cause autism.
You know what there IS evidence of, when it comes to causal factors for autism?
Air pollution.
So cars. Including tail pipes, tire particles, brake pads.
And fossil fuel energy-related pollution, industrial pollution, etc.
And not just autism.
The District Department of Melting is proud to announce that the Q and R street bike lanes are now largely free of ice.
Here’s a disappointing 100th anniversary. But in DC we have a fix! @cmcharlesallen.bsky.social’s Plaza Act passed in Dec. incorporates my bill requiring DDOT to develop new design metrics including how pedestrians&cyclists-not just cars-use roads. @ggwash.org

Classic American bike lane on the wrong side of the cement wall… 😤
A CTA Blue Line train arrives at Harlem-Forest Park.
A CTA 130-Museum Campus bus turns outside Union Station, with a CTA 124-Navy Pier bus behind it.
An inbound Metra MD-W train approaches Hanover Park at night.
A Pace 307 bus at Harlem/Roosevelt.
I’m not a tech guy so my only takeaway from the AI meltdown is that if you’re relying on outdated assumptions about how a particular market works and are slow to adapt to how the market has fundamentally changed, simply throwing more money at the problem won’t make you more competitive
Hmmm
I think it’s good luck if you bike under an elevated train line at the same time the train is going over you
