And that there ends my Mario marathon. Overall most of these games are great and are 100% worth playing (specifically in the A, S, and Goats ranks)

What did I learn from this? Uhhhh Mario is cool, I like Mario

Super Mario Bros Wonder:
The wonder flower is such a great idea, making each stage feel so unique. It does hinder the replayability with some effects losing their luster, but even then Wonder is a brilliant game that does a good job of bringing 2D Mario out of NSMB hell

Bowser’s Fury:
This is what I want from the sandbox 3D Mario games. I love the design of Lake Lapcat and all the levels within it, I really enjoy Fury Bowser for the most part, and the short length makes it one of the most comfortable 3D Mario games to replay

Super Mario Maker 2:
I was impressed with this game’s story mode. The levels were really fun and some offered a good challenge. Add on to the fact that this game adds on and improves upon the original with its fancy new course maker and you have yourself a damn good sequel

Super Mario Odyssey:
That was pretty good. Although I felt the contents of the game didn’t feel as fleshed out as I wanted it to be, I still really enjoyed it. The controls are amazing, the capture system is pretty cool, and I love how lively the each of the kingdoms felt

I really enjoyed this one. For a mobile Mario game it works really well and is a lot of fun. I like the visuals (even tho it’s pretty much a tweaked NSMBU), the music is good, the levels are fun, and the amount of content is pretty cool

Super Mario Maker for 3DS:
Meh. I was expecting the story mode to be pretty good, but overall it was ok. For online, I did not like this as much as the Wii U version. You cant share levels and all you get are recommended courses or whatever

5/10, pretty disappointing

Super Mario Maker:
So I’m going off memory for this one. Mario Maker is great when making levels and playing whatever other people made. However outside of the online stuff, there’s not much more you can do other than the really short 10 Mario challenge and course builder

Super Mario 3D World:
This is 3D Land but better. The level design is amazing, the multiplayer is the best in any mainline Mario, the visuals are nice, the ost is phenomenal. 3D World is easily the best Mario game to use the classic formula, it’s nearly perfect

Just finished watching Sonic 3 and holy shit that went hard. Also that post credits scene was just…wow, I never thought that would happen 😶

New Super Luigi U:
That was awesome. The level design is so much fun and offer a good challenge despite how short they are. Overall it’s a really good time and by far my favorite NSMB game

9.5/10 (I moved 3D Land up cuz I think I like that game more than NSMBU)

New Super Mario Bros U:
I love this game so much. It has great level design that works both solo and in coop. The controls are amazing and the extra content like the challenges are really nice additions. U is a massive improvement to Wii that does everything better

The load times on the Wii U version of NSMBU, holy shit. These are lightning fast compared to the switch version…THAT SHOULD BE THE REVERSE

Im curious on how the Wii U version of NSMBU and NSLU are so Im playing those instead. Also it’s convenient to jump from this game to 3D World so there’s that

Scratch that (no pun intended), I downloaded both games via homebrew so Im playing this on Wii U

I would play the Wii U version of New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U out of curiosity but my disc is all scratched up and shit so that’s not happening

NSMB2 for me is like a more polished up and refined Mario 3, I really liked it

New Super Mario Bros 2:
This was really good. I enjoyed this game’s level design a ton, it has some cool ideas to it and I enjoyed the coin mechanic as half baked as it was. Also damn does this game look nice, it’s so colorful and the backgrounds look nice
