Absolutely. But I keep seeing people place all the blame on electeds, particularly in the minority, while I think the current problems are much deeper than that.

But haven’t the biggest changes all really come from outside of government? Women’s rights, workers rights, civil rights, LGBTQ+, etc. all came from the people. And It seems like, unlike many other counties, we don’t have nearly the percentages of people even asking for the same things.

Nancy Pelosi led the way to flipping 40 House seats red to blue in 2018 midterms. Groups like Our Revolution and Justice Dems flipped zero. None. If you can’t win elections and flip seats, how the hell do you change anything?

I asked someone about this earlier. Aren’t most versions of M4A and single payer in CA still impossible because the CA constitution still has the section which requires healthcare budgets to be lower than education ones and none of the HC programs have been able to do that?
