I think that is the exercise of it I find the most challenging; throwing away embarrassment and just drawing to draw no matter how it turns out. I wish I had that power. Probably another thing you had have to build up by being brave and tacking it day by day. Thanks for your time Dave.

Something my friends and I discovered on a recent rewatch of this is that Kageyama isn’t actually singing “inside outside” in English twice each verse, but actually a Japanese lyric that sounds phonetically similar “issaigassai” meaning “Everything altogether”. Thought that was cool.

I really love when Supe Saiyan hair looks so bright it’s almost white like it does here on Goku and Vegeta. So clean.

Reading this run at the time was a trip. It was cool getting basically a book a week with how it was spread out between the 3 series (4 by the time they did the second event). But, issues 5-8 had a distinctly different art style than the rest that kinda messed things up. Still a great 12 issue run.

Only just barely. That SNES with Mario World for $200 in 1991 would be worth roughly $478 ish today with inflation. A ps5 with Astrobot (digital) is $499.

Not wholly equivalent, but it scales decently. The difference is cost of living is up making leisure price seem a lot more expensive in scale.

I find it particularly strange that they compromised with embroidering the nose ring on the top of the bill? Would it have been that difficult to plush that up and out too? Maybe some kind of safety concern for the toy or would make a weak spot stitching it up?
