I'm working on another projects that is taking longer than expected so maybe next month Ill have the character and animation stuff done for PaSX. 😅

this is me exactly now. I have to really plan out the games I play so I tend to reach for smaller games because of that lol

thats fair actually. expensive games you want a lot out of them.

depending on what price you get a game at, it can really shape your experience I find.

thats interesting! having only one or a small handful of games for such a large amount of time.

I guess that is sort of how these games are supposed to be built now though.

Big sandboxes that keep you inside them for a long time so you dont play much else.

honestly good to know. From what I always assumed of Rebirth is its a great big game with so much stuff to do, but knowing its a lot more of side content makes it feel less daunting.

I think this is my issue as well now lol

as I get older I tend to want very specific games that wont take me so long to play through much of what the game has to offer.

haha yeah. With games being so expensive I only buy full price games that I really want to support these days.

most games I wait for sale as well, And I guess waiting these days now has the game be fully updated with even more content by time I get to it.

Wow this is a great take. That's so true that MH never feels like a big daunting game like something like Rebirth does.

It could also be the mission structure allowing smaller play sessions if you want.

(I also personally never pay attention to a MH story)

I mostly agree though. Filler for filler sake is not great, but I can understand why devs might feel the need to add it...

If a video game has tons of content and a long story, is that a turn-on or turn-off for you? Do you buy those games or "wait till you have time"?

yeah I often have to do a double take to see if its actually a different video.

I feel like it hacks your brain a bit to think about the video more because of the trick though.

Im unsure if it leads to more views though or if its a harmful turn off for many veiwers.

Im not sure if when swapping thumbnails literally pushes it into the algorithm a bit more or if people just don't realize its the same video they didn't wanna watch before.

regardless, when I see it happening to a video frequently I don't want to watch that vid.

Its not mandatory technically... but anyone trying to game the system more treats it as mandatory.

It can obviously help out sometimes (The Hyperchess video bombed until we swapped to a the waifu thumbnail)

but the rate its at now with all the AB testing stuff is getting kinda absurd

Watching the same youtube videos title and thumbnail change every time my feed reloads is getting kinda weird now
