The panels on the right represent Arthur's pressure points in this scene - all the things that kept him from running the moment John noticed something was off. And in the center, we have their blood-soaked first meeting and Kayne's opening line!
There's so many scenes in "The King" that stand out, but I really wanted to do one of Kayne's grand entry - I had just finished a re-listen with my partner and I was excited for Sam to meet him!
I regret not taking more permanent WIP photos as I was working through this - but I did tear into the completed file to roll it back to the sketching phase so you can see what the original concept looked like.
