I watched 'Network' tonight. Never saw the movie before but I've heard of the "Mad as hell' reference. All I can say is HOLY SHIT. This movie laid out how fucked up everything is and this was 50 years ago. I'm shocked they even let them make this movie.

A macro photo, front three-quarter, elevated view, of a bee inside a pale yellow, multi-petaled flower. The bee is overall dark metallic blue-green, and has a face covered in fuzzy white hairs, bedecked in small round pollen grains.

๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ“ท This wee bee (Andrena olivacea) is a native mining bee. Less than half the size of a honeybee, it looks dull and dark from a distance - but is beautiful up close. It's one of over 1600 species of native bees (which honeybees are not) found in California alone. Like almost all bee species--

A photograph of 4 small gouache paintings on 2.5x2.5 inches illustration board on a piece of wood with a paintbrush to the right of the paintings. The 4 paintings are various studies of environments ranging from moss covered rocks, bright orange mountains reflected on water, a environment with the sun going down and pink clouds and rolling hills, and a image of puffy clouds on top a mountain.

I can't go to this (geographic proximity issue) but this book is incredible and enraging (complimentary), and my request is that more of you read it so that I can talk about it with you.

The Wall Street Journal just illustrated the core argument of my book: a system rigged to reward capital over labor is one in which even full-time work no longer secures the most basic material needs.

This is the economic order that produces the "working homeless."
