His departure from this mortal coil was swift, and is a gut-wrenching reminder that we don't know what's coming next. Find joy, explore your passions, be silly, and tell your friends and family you love them every chance you get.

I am endlessly thankful for the opportunity to be surrounded by friends who also loved him this weekend, swapping stories and tears. The fellowship was sorely needed, and ironically the thing he would have been insanely excited about.

I even got to call him a classmate, roommate, and coworker too. Someone who filled the room with love and joy and also sound, that will leave a painful vacancy in so many lives.

How do you adequately eulogize a personality as big, bright, and vibrant as Weezy's? A man that was always kind, caring and sincere—and someone I was so fortunate to call one of my dearest friends for 18 years.
