Earlier today, I was able to join these incoming James Madison College students during their tour of the capitol. JMC's Early Start Program supports first-generation students and others who may benefit from additional preparation before they begin their first semester at MSU!

I joined local officials and the Route 0 team this morning to talk about the potential that electric vehicles have for MI. Our state is uniquely positioned to rebuild our manufacturing strength with the transition to EVs and give Michiganders the choice to drive cheaper, cleaner and safer vehicles.

Today marks two years since the tragic shooting on Michigan State University’s campus that killed three students and injured five. As our community is reflecting today, I'm keeping everyone affected by this senseless violence close to my heart and praying for their continued healing.

As we come to the close of Muslim American Heritage Month, I had the honor of hosting Imam Sohail Chaudhry of the Islamic Center of East Lansing as my guest for today's legislative session. I am grateful for his invocation and acknowledgement of the upcoming anniversary of the MSU shooting.
