god forbid I have to make symbolic links for literally every app in my local appdata folder because people decided being able to choose install directory is bad

Why does everything on modern windows install in appdata? Why am I forced to have all these programs I don't need to load quickly on my SSD? Why can't I just install them literally anywhere else? My SSD is full and I have literally nothing I willingly choose to install on it
