She’s a non-right wing leader enjoying positive approval ratings - we should be taking notes!

After much careful thought and deliberation (and a few outdoor glasses of wine in Bologna) I’ve decided June is THE best month

I live in Italy and sadly it feels very unlikely to pass. The right wing government is pretty popular and is actively discouraging people from voting at all, let alone for it

Reform UK fulfils pledge to scrap LTNs in its council areas as none exist All 10 council areas controlled by rightwing party tell the Guardian they have no low-traffic neighbourhoods Reform UK’s pledge to remove all low-traffic neighbourhoods from the council areas it controls looks to be achieved in record time after the 10 local authorities said they do not actually have any in place. Zia Yusuf, Reform UK’s chair, said last week there would be a “large-scale reversal” of existing LTNs in the 10 areas across England where the party won control of the councils in local elections on 1 May. The horrific situation that the EBU have put #Eurovision in where a country commuting GENOCIDE can nearly win the contest is an insult to everything it stands for.

Switzerland also got 0 with a beautiful song after winning with over 100 televotes last year. We also got over 100 televotes with Sam just a few years ago; Sometimes it is just random and weird

Tbf, every local I’ve heard from LOVES it - that obviously won’t help us with votes but it’s good to know!

Beautiful shot and beautiful words! Are they from a film or poem or something?

Guess it will depend on how keen the Americans are to buy our British beef! Hopefully very 💛

The beef we receive wouldn’t be hormone loaded - it would have to meet our safety standards, which wouldn’t change 😊 the exchange just allows greater choice for the consumers who would want that, I suppose!

His own words give himself away. He says he cares about the UK and that he thinks Kier and Labour are ruining it. If he genuinely believes both statements, he can’t want Kier to continue doing what he’s doing. Proves he only cares about himself and his own success, not the wellbeing of the country

People on the left tend to be more focused on the morality of issues. I don’t think this is bad, but it makes it easier to focus on the ‘action’ of voting for a party they align with most (Green rather than Lab), than the ‘result’ of it enabling a win for the party they align with least (Reform)

The minority of renters who behave badly can be considered a ‘risk’ of the investment of becoming a landlord, as any investment has its risks. It’s overwhelmingly renters who have it bad and who need protecting. Landlords can choose not to be landlords, most renters have no other choice but to rent.

I don’t personally think there’s any way Belgium doesn’t qualify considering we already know the live performance is good, but interesting prediction! Excited to see what happens 💛

The number of Islamophobic posts about London Mayor Sadiq Khan has risen from 12,000 to 28,000 over the last 12 months, according to a GLA report.

They’re nearly all on TwitterX and more than half come from the US and India.

Yes totally true, BUT the sheer ‘concept’ of a death slot means producers will typically put weaker songs there to limit risks of upsets. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy

That would be nice!

This will be funny but I am slightly scared it’ll mean we’re put after the kind of song that’s likely to be very attractive to televotes…I hope it doesn’t put us in a shadow 🫠
