I actually want to be clear.
The players are fine. Talented, obviously. The community outreach i see from some of them and times I see them being lovely? Cool.
But.
The team. The brand. The things that go along with that?
If they’re just. Too damn good? Irrational irritability.

If there is one thing I hate in sports, I hate dynasties. If your team is a dynasty and or starting to look like one. I hate it.
I hate the Chiefs in football (yes I know they just lost last year’s Super Bowl but still)
I hated the Dodgers last year. I hate them even more this year.

Only time I want to see the same team winning 2x in a row is if it’s a team that hadn’t won a World Series in like…40+ years, if ever.

I just really, deeply dislike the same team winning multiple years in a row. On a visceral level. In many years I’d be rooting for the Dodgers, who are my husbands team. We had an Orioles/Dodgers wedding.
But I think this result, this year, really fucking sucks.
