Louisville Overcomes Sloppy Offense, Uses Stifling Defense to Hold Off Winthrop The Cardinals committed 20 turnovers, but held the Eagles to 31.4 percent from the field.

#Louisville had a sloppy night on the offensive end, but made up for it with a stifling effort on defense, using that to hold off a pesky Winthrop.

Cards win 76-61.

The turnovers and rebounding.

Lots of work to do for sure but I like this team's mentality.

I believe when you are focused on areas of improvement defense, rebounding you usual suffer in other areas via turnovers and offensive flow. But I agree turnovers need to be addressed and I thought there was a different intensity shown by multiple players to attack the backboard.

Two areas that concerned me pregame they worked hard to improve defense and rebounding.
