good point. At least I'm not on the app and they're not in my inbox

you can follow them via an RSS reader! That's how I follow substack authors without giving the platform my email or traffic. All the writers I pay to follow moved to Ghost or Buttondown, and I can buy books or monetarily support authors still on substack in other ways

If a man wants to tell me about Ben Sasse's vision for the future of the liberal arts, I'm saying the same thing she said lol

(as a former employee of the University of Florida, where he successfully destroyed the liberal arts before being fired for embezzlement (before the cancer!)

This is Charleston for you, Mace's constituency is comprised of boat owners and the temporarily embarrassed boatless, who will be assigned their boat once all the brown people are gone

As a representative of the crazy dog people, these people are insufferable.

People don't like dogs and they don't need to be subjected to them! And the same people who do this stuff don't acknowledge that their dog is stressed and miserable and would rather be home anyways. Get a teddy bear ppl

see: the personal website revival, forums like 32-Bit Cafe, blogs & RSS feeds coming back

I love being in an actual *forum* with ~40 active members where we can have nuanced, long-form, good faith interactions that I haven't been able to have since the LiveJournal era!

I feel this. The US is in crisis and a lot of our American online response is kind of insane and anti-social. I am also insane and anti-social as an American, I'm just trying to be offline about it

a digital illustration in the style of a relief print depicting a black cat in a defensive pose holding a torn and tattered transgender pride flag in its mouth as it looks directly towards the viewer. the background is purple with some specks of blue and pink showing through, and behind the cat is a black midground resembling grass or flames. the top right corner features a box with a caption reading "T.D.O.V."

4 prints benefit mutual aid:
1. "May you become the blessing we need in this world"= @wynkenhimself.bsky.social's beautiful "Pomegranates" zine text. (I made the Hebrew "pomegranates" type @ top!) 10% => Consistent Money Moving Project: mutual aid $ neighbors can count on consistentmoneymoving.org +

a series of quilt squares in orange, pink, and blue

I am making quilts and just-for-fun websites until the print shop thaws. I am making lots and lots of mistakes and I am dangerously near Baltimore's most bougie quilt shop.

Text: Greater Prairie Wyrm

Image: a snake-like dragon with a pointed bird-like snout is curled amongst dry grasses and bushes, its tail curled around an old stone marker from the early settler period. A wire fence and trees in the background indicate a vast field.
