And Rage Against The Machine headlined the first Coachella.
TIL Coachella was started as an offshoot of a Pearl Jam concert back when they were protesting Ticketmaster.
Kind of ironic.
One of the better concert videos online, in terms of sound quality and clarity, that's not an official release or broadcast.
All Them Witches - live at Ancienne Belgique

There are a few versions out there of "Blood and Sand".
This one is my favourite. The buildup in the first 3 1/2 minutes is epic and takes you on a ride for 9 minutes.
Have always said if I ran game day ops I would play this during the pre-game leading to player intros.

One of the best, and most popular, Live on KEXP sessions was their performance of "Blood and Sand/Milk and Endless Waters".
All 3 members were in a zone in this one.
A song that has to be played turned up to 11. Be careful though, the bass might blow out your speakers.

I've posted before about All Them Witches, a band that defies description. A jam band that plays heavy, sludgy stoner rock infused with groovy blues.
They have a new album, House of Mirrors, out next month.
Red Rocking Chair, is a cover of a traditional bluegrass song

After Me? came out in 2024 and was his big song. It's included on his debut album "Act I" that came out in January.
The song "Believe", which he released last year and was one of my favourite songs of 2025, is also included in the album.

Have a case of FOMO tonight as I couldn't go to the Kashus Culpepper concert tonight. So my wife went with her friend.
Live version of After Me?
And here is Dua Lipa covering "Eugene" for BBC Radio 1, who is a big fan of Arlo Parks.

"Devotion" was one of my favourite tracks off her last album.
This is a live version from her appearance on KEXP.

Speaking of her love of Radiohead, here's a performance of her and Phoebe Bridgers covering "Fake Plastic Trees". While it's Bridgers on vocals she does a masterful job on the keys and backing vocals.

Another example of that storytelling comes across in the Radiohead inspired "Eugene". She makes no bones about her love for Radiohead.
"Caroline" is also another good example of her storytelling.

As was her Colors Show featuring her song "Hurt".
She has a way of telling stories with her songs.

Let's look at some older songs and performances.
Her Tiny Desk concert a few years back was fantastic.

One of my favourite artists at the moment, Arlo Parks, dropped her new album "Ambiguous Desire" on Friday. Love her sound and can't wait to see her at the end of the summer.
Her latest track is "Beams".
She should be a bigger star in North America.

One of the more surreal experiences I've had in Toronto was going to a TFC match in the afternoon and going to Lee's Palace to see Ted Leo on the same day as the G20 riots.
This song is almost 20 years old but it's still pertinent.

So it was no surprise that we used "Walking to Do" for our wedding reception.
There's a whole lot of walking to do
And if we stay on our feet we'll make it in our own time
And though the road has got some steep climbs,
I believe we'll be fine

While we've seen other bands more on our own - me, The Hives and Deep Sea Diver; her, The Hold Steady - Ted Leo, with and without The Pharmacists, is who we've seen together the most.

Ted Leo is an artist that has played a key role in my life. My wife introduced me to him when we first started dating. Shake the Sheets was relatively new and it was a staple on road trips.
Me and Mia
A song about eating disorders.

The Lumineers - So Long
I'm not a big fan of The Lumineers, they were everywhere a few years ago with Ho Hey and all those songs named after women for a stretch. But this song from a year ago, while not as popular, is one of their best.

Corb Lund - Horse Soldier, Horse Soldier
From Canadian artist Corb Lund thisis probably one of the best songs about human history, and from the POV of a horse. Aside from one line that I don't like, you can actually learn about history through the song.

SAULT - Wildfires
This song comes from their Untitled (Black Is) album, one of the best albums of 2020. The song and album dropped under the backdrop of the pandemic and all the riots and hit everyone hard. SAULT is phenomenal.

My songs of the day.
Galantis - Runaway (U & I)
Galantis was big in 2015 with two monster tracks with Runaway and "Peanut Butter Jelly". Runaway has that more prototypical Swedish EDM sound that was prevalent during this era.

Also Samara Cyn's new release is real good.
In terms of new music, I'm really liking this new band, Cardinals, from Ireland.
This song came out early in the new year.
