Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.
Trump did this 👇🏽
The Pennsylvania primary “clock” for U.S. Senate starts on Nov. 4.
If Fetterman decides to run again (instead of joining that certain foreign-country-focused PAC we all love so much), i think a certain prominent musical artist from Reading, PA should announce her candidacy and run against him.

As I do every year on 4/20, I will be following the Jeopardy! interview segment tonight by saying “Dream blunt rotation. Now let’s get back into the Jeopardy! round.”
So, he doubled our taxes then?
Cool cool.

we didn’t think shame had any juice left to squeeze, but maybe we were wrong?
what tf is happening in Rûžžīã right now?
- Key oligarchs publicly expressing doubts, apparently without fear of windows?
- Top influencers criticizing the PEO Staff?
- Sweden issuing public warnings about economic risks?
Don't understand how traders trade these market with all the misinformation, much of it coming from the White House, let alone Iran. Also don't understand the lack of outrage about apparent insider trading ahead of the President's pronouncements. How are the exchanges themselves not investigating?

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
the number of smart people (including people in tech) I've talked to who genuinely think their chatbot is sentient (or very close) is WAY more unsettling than the distant threat of Skynet

Just a professor standing in front of BlueSky demoralized because exams my students used to get a mean of 83% on prior to 2020 are now failed in large numbers. It seems that their ability to APPLY concepts to new contexts/domains has all but disappeared.
I love these students & I am worried.
What a surprise.
A publicly-traded corporation would not put this out unless they felt very confident that they will never have to face accountability— and that their taxpayer-funded contracts will never again be at risk.

It seems like a Prime Minister who continues to get his corruption trial delayed for years because his government is engaged in wars has a personal incentive to keep wars going as long as possible.
I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business.
