If you want the lush historical romance vibes of BRIDGERTON with the fucked up queer vampires of INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE....may I present the Age of Blood series???
The series opener, MISTRESS OF LIES, is still on sale for $2.99 in ebook!

I guess I should be a good noodle and actually read When the Moon Hatched since I have the second book on preorder #booksky
We are now 25 days beyond the statutory deadline for the full release of the Epstein files
I finished Blood on Her Tongue on my metro ride this morning. This was a captivating gothic novel with an interesting take on vampires & what it means to be sisters. It also does a fantastic job at touching on mental illness & how it was viewed in 1887 while still being tactful #booksky
Dracula, Frankenstein, Picture of Dorian Gray
I think itāll be a great serotonin boost lol
Iām heavily considering doing a reread of all my favorite classic gothic novels. I havenāt read them in a long time so Iām very overdue #booksky

Letās try something a little more Gothic next. Blood on Her Tongue by @johannavanveen.bsky.social has been on my TBR for a long time.
I havenāt read his other books so maybe thatāll help me not have extra expectations for this book
I havenāt read anything by him before so I donāt have a point of reference to go off of about his work in general
Okay this gives me a lot of hope and Iāll keep trucking along then
I already was listening to podcasts while I crocheted so it felt like a good option to add to the mix!

Started Between Two Fires tonight. Iām about 50 pages in and Iām still on the fence about it. I feel like the synopsis I keep seeing so far is over inflated? Iāll give it some time to see if it builds. #booksky
So far Iām really enjoying it!!

Trying to listen to more audio books while I crochet. I donāt normally read dark romance but Iāve heard such good things about the Lights Out audio book, I had to finally try it. #booksky #lightsout #audiobooks #darkromance #crochet
How about a promo day? If you're a non-American author that has been in any way affected by American imperialism please share your work and how best to support you under this thread. ā¤ļø #WritingPrompt
How many more times do we need to say this is illegal, this is vile, this is unacceptable for something to actually be done about the Orange Dictator?
Okay I devoured Hemlock and Silver in one setting. T Kingfisher has such an incredible way of doing dark fairy tales that are just creepy enough without towing into āedge lordā territory. Plus a FMC over the age of 30 that isnāt written like sheās ancient. #booksky

First book of the year is going to be Hemlock and Silver by @tkingfisher.com. Iāve loved every book sheās written that Iāve read so far. #booksky
Iām definitely going to prioritize whatās already on my shelves and on my e-reader. I still have some preorders thatāll come in though
Itās been lovely
Iāve laid in bed all day and played Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Oh so itās a race against the clock šš
Whatās everyoneās first read of the year? My TBR is so long Iām torn on where to start. #booksky
Screenshot of StoryGraphās 2026 Reading Goals showing 25 books as the goal
Okay so I was too bold in 2025 saying I was going to read 50 books. So weāre going with a more attainable 25.
If weāre not already friends on @thestorygraph.com add me! Iām thebookvampire on there #booksky #readinggoals #2026readinggoals
I havenāt read anything or been on this app in 3 months. Iāve just kind of been in survival mode and escapism into books just wasnāt in the cards. Iām hoping since Iām taking a couple weeks off of work, I can get back to my old self and be inspired to read again #booksky
Thankfully I left that career path behind so itās been a lovely distraction from my professional stress
I just got off in May after over a year of waiting! Slowly but surely itāll happen
Iām really glad it kept the UK cover because I prefer it to the US edition
