Die Naturwissenschafts-Community muss sich hier klar auf die Seite der Geistes- & Sozialwissenschaft stellen. Das ist ein Angriff auf alle. (Thread)
At (most) lab meetings we have a “moment for diversity” where that week’s presenter either tells us about their culture or presents some topic related to diversity and inclusion. This week I chose to spend a few minutes talking about Rita Levi-Montalcini.

What a haunting story. It really seems like they found the best possible way to deal with it — but I can’t imagine the pain.

Hey friends,
I made my first starter pack! You can’t go wrong following these 150 fun and smart science communicators. For some reason there’s no men in there? Weird.
Please don’t be mad if you’re not on there — I ran out of slots even though many are still missing 😬

New preprint! Do men and women differ in their metacognitive abilities? In a new preprint, we detail robust differences in global and local metacognition which span multiple cognitive domains. Read all about our findings in this thread! #psychology #neuroskyence

Thought it is time to reshare some of my favourite Interacting Minds podcast episodes that we have produced. This one is on top of my list as a wonderful serendipitous moment. I attended Ingela's talk on Tuesday and we recorded this episode on Thursday.
German yearning for revisionism, Holocaust distortion & racism: my piece on Murray‘s spin of Nazi crimes. Thank you to @waitmanwbeorn.com, excellent Holocaust historian, who was so kind to answer my questions even though it was already very late. www.volksverpetzer.de/analyse/murr...

‘Ecological’ psychology is about the fact that who we are and how we live fundamentally shapes what we do and why
One unexpected thing in my qualitative study w natural scientists (one-hour interviews) is how deeply, deeply sad the climate scientists are. They say things like "you have enough information from us, why won't anyone act?" -- the psychological distress these people are enduring is very great.
Time for an introduction here. I’m a psychologist currently finishing up psychotherapy training and my postdoc project on a new online group therapy (adult autism, emotion regulation & acceptance). I’m from Austria but have lived in other countries for 10 years now #scisky #psychsky
