I noted the day of the SCOTUS decision that JB Pritzker IMMEDIATELY moved to make this point, by demanding a refund for IL. And State refunds may be the best way to politicize how Trump created the worst of all worlds. But Elizabeth Warren is, predictably, focused on it as well.

Free speech absolutism.
An examination by ProPublica shows how thoroughly and expansively the Trump administration has overhauled the federal government into what some fear is a vehicle for making sure elections go his way.
Peter Thiel, who thinks freedom & democracy are incompatible, and hates the social safety net & women voting, is trying to buy the outcome of VA’s redistricting vote to further his disgusting anti-democratic views.
Don’t let him!!!!! VOTE YES, Virginia, on 4/21, to stop Thiel.
Excellent article refuting “viewpoint diversity”
Trump is reported close to a "deal" with himself under which US taxpayers would pay him $10 billion.
I served in multiple communist and authoritarian dictatorships, but I never witnessed corruption on this scale or this blatant.

The Georgia student who asked JD Vance about Epstein describes how hard they tried to screen his question and hand-pick the questioners.
Like “heterodox,” the term “viewpoint diversity” is a dog whistle everyone should be aware of. Fundamentally anti-intellectual and anti-academic efforts to platform people with dubious credentials and/or “research” in the name of (typically ultra-conservative) agendas, masked as “academic freedom.”
Actually I learned from Anne Applebaum interview recently that Orban when he was anti-communist was given a scholarship to study at Oxford by George Soros.
I just want to know how we’ll prosecute these “boys” when alls said and done
Is that Jon Stewart??
People complain about the current state of affairs, but I think we're actually moving closer and closer to the American dream: being scammed every time we engage in society
Or unAmerican @economist.com it could be that Americans don’t like fascism much after all.

And this was 3 years in the making. This is good ole expert, DEI, woke NASA for you, right here.
But why just NOW, though? Seems really weird.
The sharply conservative Supreme Court, reshaped by President Trump’s three appointees, is the first since at least the 1950s to reject civil rights claims in most cases involving women and minorities, according to an analysis conducted for The Post. https://wapo.st/4tCkcJB
Sincerely… NASA couldn’t have chosen a better team of people for this mission. They have been a bright light in the shadowy time here. It’s been a joy to watch.

If mainstream journalists did their basic duty – warning us about threats to our well-being – they’d loudly warn us that a deranged criminal is trying to overthrow our democracy.
It’s the biggest story of their lifetimes, and they’re either afraid to cover it properly or they’re complicit in it.

My son googled when a registration event was going to open. Come to find out, google was wrong, and almost made him miss registering for the event before it closed (if we hadnt double-checked days later). Ai is a huge distraction for finding correct information.
The other takeaway is that that crackdown on free speech was successful. It has effectively silenced further campus protests. Which is really really sad and a very bad look for universities, supposedly the bulwark of free thinking, nationwide.
Iran executed 14 prisoners on political charges in three weeks since the war began on 28 February, including protesters and alleged opposition members amid a continued internet shutdown.
As a parent of those teens (one in college, one in HS) I see this most at the college level, & it is definitely an indictment of teaching ability & engagement by profs, TAs & adjuncts who prioritize their own research over educating. In lower grades, an easy fix is return to paper.
