Ok someone on Threads posted about how like...science fiction doesn't have to be 100% accurate because it's science fiction.

I was so excited to finish half of a chapter last night. I read it back tonight and it might as well have been written by a stranger. And it's bad. lol

Ya win some, ya lose some. But still, it did give me something to work with and now I'm making progress again. 28,000 words down!

So, book 2 of my trilogy gets more science-y. Last night I made a huge breakthrough in my research that ties together a MAJOR plot point and gives credibility to the events and I am SO. FREAKING. EXCITED.

Now brb while I slide into a bunch of scientists’ DMs real quick.

Sometimes, music is the best for writing. Other times, it reminds you of another character's storyline that you aren't writing yet because you have to finish the one you're on, and NOW I CAN'T RESIST THE SIREN CALL

does anyone else suffer from the rapidly and sometimes randomly incurred status effect called "I love my original character(s) so much it hurts." like it just forces you double over for a few moments cardiac arrest style before you're able to regain composure and continue on, newly invigorated.

I was just thinking about how cute it is that this app is called 'blue sky' and its icon is a little butterfly.

Oooohhhh that's tricky! I feel like any of the alien-based superheroes would def be sci-fi. Or like, science lab powers...but then Batman? He's technically a dude who made LARPing his full-time job, so I'd say fantasy.

I love social media because every time I read a book by a new author, I can slide into their DMs to start raving about everything I love about their book. This is now how I make all of my new friends.

Got 1,000 words today already!!! Just passed 23,000. Let's gooooooooooooo!

I love the 'inside jokes' my readers are coming up with in relation to things that happen in my book. It's such a fun little thing that I didn't expect to happen.

It's nice to know that if I yell out "MURDER-PIG" I can find my readers, though.

I think I finally have a good rotation of coffee shops to write in. It's a wonderful thing. Truly.
