a 1958 Topps style card of Retrosheet founder Dave Smith and business card for the related book "How Retrosheet Saved Baseball History" by Jay Wigley. Both cards are on a background of the end paper from Todd Radom's "Winning Ugly" which features a scattering of MLB Jerseys across a diamond patterned dark blue page.

Bunch of Thank You's to hand out - @jaywigley.bsky.social for the Dave Smith Card, @gritz.bsky.social for creating it and @ngtcollectibles.bsky.social for running the Sunday FreeTrade Thread.

Looking forward to Jay's book!

Happy Earth Day my Friends.

Dave Mason, Traffic Co-Founder Who Penned 'Feelin' Alright?,' Dead at 79 Dave Mason, the Traffic co-founder and guitarist who wrote the classic rock standard "Feelin' Alright," has died at age 79.

Bummed about Dave Mason's passing. His named popped up at a handful of local shows in the 2000s(?) that I was too busy being a drunk to bother seeing.

Pretty sure he was the biggest name to appear at the short-lived TJ Rafters on 202S below West Chester

Aaron Nola and his 5.06 ERA is the Phillies 3rd best player

Eagles are a bit like the Phillies, they are in win now mode. Get someone who can contribute in 2026.

well now they know - if JT goes down for what he thinks is only a day in July the team may be more likely to IL him quickly and get things moving.

This info is incorrect:

Mike Johnson represents LA-4 which is neighboring to 6 and has a goofy shape that surrounds the NW portion of LA-6.

LA-6 is represented by Cleo Fields.

NY/LA pack.

kind of like Orlando Palmeiro bashing the HTA logo.

Definitely have the Bambino/Gehrig IRL, probably Kranepool as well.

2 for 13 is a touch below league avg (3/17)

However the Phillies are one of five teams without a PH-RBI,
of course The Teams 13 ABs are also pretty low (25th)

PH Leverage looks low, so Coach Rob knows what he's dealing with.

23 of the Phillies Runs have come in 2 games - One of which was in Colorado. Take away those 23 Rs and the Phillies are averaging < 3 R/G which is worse than the 30th ranked Mets and I don't see a Juan Soto walking into the Phillies Clubhouse.

Unfortunately that would be a net-loss in electoral votes for Team Blue

PHL would get 9 EV while PA-West would get 12. The 2 additional EV are the 2 Senators PHL would pick up.

On the plus side PHL would have 2 Sens that actually represent their constituents
