That is indeed a milestone to celebrate and an emerging scholar to watch! Congrats to them and well done!

Eh, sort of—not very active like I was back in the day. But I’m here! I’m so happy to see you here too!
This 💯
Someone go get Bentley and Ferrari! You WANT a brother-sister bonded pair. It's one of the best cat combos out there. (I'd add a third they both like, because cats do best in triads, but two is still pretty good.)
Also, they are beautiful! Look at those faces!!!

Lord, I ask so little of you; hear my prayer today, and let no AI of any kind be involved in the YouTubing of our last unspoiled American saint, Fred Rogers, forever and ever, amen 🙏🏼
Kate, why is that one guy so BIG
My family has been farming shellfish in the Pacific Northwest since the 1880s. In third grade, we did a unit on marine biology and the entire class took a field trip to my house.
Well shit. I’m pretty sure that house was featured in an issue of American Bungalow that I received in the mail and immediately went to have Personal Time with
At age 89, my grandfather made a special trip to Olan Mills, had this studio portrait taken, hand-typed the caption, and sent a copy of the photo in a presentation mat sent to everyone in our extended family. Duck pride is real.
Really love your brushwork on the beak there 😍

And shoutout to MY CA State Senator, @scottwiener.bsky.social, for introducing the bill that will hurry us to the place we should already have been: sd11.senate.ca.gov/news/senator...
Thank you, though, for laughing when I said “The only reason I don’t have a FUCK PG&E bumper sticker on my car is that I don’t have a car.”
Apologies to the public opinion pollster who just got both barrels of my feelings on whether California should break up with @pacificgaselectric.bsky.social.
Just read this terrific essay by @miquai.bsky.social. The last sentences hit so hard for me, as I've been showing up professionally in very different ways than formerly.

Don’t read this if you don’t want to get mad, but do if you want to receive some nauseating insight into how very little these people care about being likeable: www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/s...
Looksmaxxers are invoking basic theories like “greater facial symmetry = greater attractiveness” to reassure themselves that they could similarly attract and engage women for sex. But at least one leading influencer in that community was quoted recently as saying the sex itself was a waste of time.
The PUA subculture was all about leveraging basic human psychology into a series of maneuvers to attract women’s attention and engage them socially, but ONLY to the extent required to have sex. They kept score with notches on the bedpost, not with the formation of meaningful relationships.
As I understand the trend/subculture, the answer is, weirdly, yes—looksmaxxing purports to be based on empirical standards of perfection, and entirely external/visual markers of evolutionary fuckability. As with its earlier iteration, pickup artistry, zero emphasis on personality or likability.
Gratefully received! 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you, today is a day when I especially needed to see some plush white bib
In a deliberate strategy, to harm women and hits rural women first & hardest. The U.S. State Dept. ordered public libraries to cease processing passport applications, disrupting a long-standing service that communities rely on and that has run smoothly for years.
