crazy to see my progressive NY homies think its cool to make tariff and annexation jokes, I hope I never see SDJ vs eddy mexico or a good chinese player in my lifetime

have to stop myself from falling down the deep dark hole of actually attending smash majors this year
hi! i'm jynnie, an indie game maker, making Wild Seasons! a roguelike deck-gardener. grow your deck and align the stars to power up your plants

i wonder how well threads do in the algo here though, since I am not seeing any myself
i am missing informational threads from the other app, might share the fun unity packages ive been using as an ongoing thread
reminder to myself to keep adding cute things as i'm working on a bigger project. i've seen so many cool loading screen these days in indie games
torn about combining 3D models with our 2.5d pixel art aesthetic.
right dweller is with a pixel art shader, which fits in better, but I also enjoy the contrast from the full resolution version.
setting up playtesting on steam is a wonderful productivity booster since instead of putting the effort into figuring it out I procrastinate by doing dev work

i've seen a lot of wistful takes on UFO50 and how it captures a lost era of indie games, but I actually feel fairly hopeful about games as a creative hobby
it's easy to get lost in the indie business world but I've met a lot of hobbyists who are making really cool games on top of their regular job
i'm working on Creatures after Calamity, an unsettling monster battler in which your animals remember how you treat them. build a team and outsmart your opponents before your creatures turn on you.
we're early stages, but I'll post updates and am looking for playtesters soon!
