I'm not surprised, isn't that basically an extension of their previous "collect vs search" argument?

IIRC NSA tried to use AI to analyze network graphs gathered from cell-site simulators to identify terrorists in Pakistan many years ago (spoiler-alert it didn't work because you can't fool stats)

When it comes to the Iran war and the Hormuz strait, everybody talks about oil and gas. I don't think enough people talk about artificial fertilizer feeding ~50% of the world and 20-30% of it being blocked at Hormuz. Urea futures have doubled since december.

Sweden blames Russian hackers for attempting 'destructive' cyberattack on thermal plant | TechCrunch Sweden's minister for civil defense said Russian hackers are "now attempting destructive cyber attacks against organizations in Europe."

NEW, by me: Sweden has blamed Russian government-linked hackers for attempting a destructive cyber attack on a thermal plant in western Sweden in 2025.

The cyberattack failed, but it's the latest in a string of Russia-linked incidents targeting critical infrastructure in Europe in recent years.

Jeg er en smule målløs her. Tusen, tusen takk til @frittord.bsky.social for tildeling av kritikerstipend på 250.000 kroner! Jeg bretter opp ermene og gleder meg til et enormt spennende år.

This week, I will be forcing a vote on legislation to block the sale of nearly half a billion dollars worth of bombs and bulldozers to the Israeli military.

The extremist Netanyahu government that has committed genocide in Gaza does not need more military support from American taxpayers.

Assuming an Apollo-like architecture there are thrusters on the capsule and you use roll to move the CoM relative to the CoP and get pitch/yaw from that

BlueSky, help me out - a few decades ago, I was a blogger. I plan to start anew, but I need a platform, and I'm much too lazy to write it from scratch.

I despise Wordpress.

Docker is a no-go

i want absolute template control. I want Movable Type without server-side components.

Must be FOSS.

+ many of those mods went on to become games on their own, or games were released that were in effect total-conversion mods (ex Star Wars Battlegrounds)

As a norwegian: Imagine your foreign minister is asked on national news whether he thinks the leader of a particular allied country and world leader is sane, and when he says (in diplomatic language) no ... the news just go on as if he didn't just say that

One of the hardest things to get across to most software people with great intentions is *how strong defaults are* and how tired everyone else is of dorking around trying to get things to work, but this understanding is the thing that made Apple, for all its many flaws, such a giant.

Previous video titles These EXPERTS show what it takes to FLY A SATELLITE at the European Space Agency What actually happens after launch‽ (at the European Space Agency!) What hapens in the European Space Agency's Mission Control?

As a bit of a space nerd, it's fun to see Artemis getting people excited about spaceflight again.

But what happens after you've launched a satellite, with no astronauts on board to drive it to its new home‽

I visited the European Space Agency to find out.
