We honor the 67 lives lost in the DCA midair collision and remain committed to preventing tragedies like this from happening again.

Yesterday, the House passed the ALERT Act with overwhelming bipartisan support. This bill strengthens coordination between civilian and military aircraft, modernizes collision prevention technology, and improves aviation safety.

Holocaust Remembrance Day is about remembering the past so we can apply those lessons to our present and future. We have a chance to stand up to injustice every day — in honor of the more than 6 million Jewish lives lost in the Holocaust.

Today, I visited the facility and met with 2 ICE detainees. Our criminal justice system is broken—from the disproportionate number of Black Americans in prison to ICE detaining tens of thousands of people without criminal records.

A genocidal threat from a U.S. president is beyond dangerous. Escalating strikes while threatening to wipe out an entire civilization puts innocent Iranian civilians and Americans at risk. These are intentional war crimes. We need to invoke the 25th Amendment now to stop these violations.

I was proud to visit the Damien Center to highlight $850,000 I secured to support housing, healthcare, and HIV prevention services for Indianapolis residents. I will keep fighting to bring resources back home and invest in programs that strengthen our community.

Hoosier communities, especially Black communities, have long been subject to industrial and environmental burdens. We need to make sure data centers pay their fair share for the utilities they use, don't hurt our neighborhoods, and don’t contribute to the rising affordability crisis.

Today, Martindale Brightwood residents can make their voices heard on the impact of a new data center. This public hearing is a chance for Indianapolis to speak up and speak out—neighbors, activists, labor leaders, and community stakeholders.

I am proud to earn a 100% score from the @lcv.org. At a time when the Trump administration is making major cuts to environmental protections, I will continue fighting for cleaner air and water and investing in clean energy.

Women make less than men for doing the same work — and the gap gets even wider for women of color. I'm working to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act to prevent discrimination, protect women, and make our economy better for everyone.

Democrats have put forth a solution to fully fund TSA — without giving ICE more money to attack our communities. 

Republicans refuse to accept it. 

We can and should make sure TSA workers are paid while still holding ICE accountable.

I just submitted an amendment to stop
ICE from hiding behind masks and face coverings.

We need transparency. We need ICE out of our airports and out of our homes.

Republicans need to work with Democrats to fund DHS the right way.

I join Hoosiers across the state in mourning the loss of Capt. Seth R. Koval, an American hero who served our nation with honor. My prayers are with his family, community and all who served beside him. We will never forget his sacrifice and bravery to our country.

President Trump is dragging us into another endless war without congressional approval. I voted against this war because Americans should not have to suffer higher costs or decisions that puts lives at risk.
