btw if you think prices are going to come down when companies get theirs well... lmao

I just love when you start with a super specific premise with really specific rules and then let it go as far off the rails as is enjoyable to see. These stories are often designed like games with new rules being uncovered as they progress and I think it’s really neat. Such unique creativity
I know people have a lot of standard classifications but I’ve been thinking a lot about how stuff like Death Note and Platinum End are what I would call “thought experiment media” and I think it’s a far more unique genre than people give it credit for
There has been deep evil poisoning this society. This is the logical conclusion of a corruption festering and encouraged for decades
This is a rather incredible window into a reactionary mindset, because Daniel Vávra seems like he genuinely wanted to tell a story that included a gay romance subplot in spite of pushback, but refuses to extend that understanding to other writers and developers who also want to tell their stories...

yeah I'm down with waymo
way mo' human workers getting paid living wages baybeeeeee
trust me, as the co-director of a game largely about trans people, I've seen all the types of knots people twist themselves into to prove *their* anti-trans ideology is actually just Concern or Not A Big Deal or some such other thing. It's always just thinly veiled hate. Spineless, cowardly hate
like there's no "good" way to be anti-trans, sorry. These chuds will double, triple, and quadruple down until the PR tide turns and then it's all "actually the way I did it was simply good fun and also woke somehow" shut up, dude
you said you were a TERF, man. You don't get to go "I'm team TERF" and then be like "oh not in *that* way though"

sometimes we gotta do some destruction because the owners of the warehouses are destroying *us*
work and job prospects aren't natural forces. They're very often weapons used by the powerful to literally kill people
Trending topic that says "Amazon Worker Dies on Job as Supervisor Orders Colleagues to Keep Working"
for the "but why do you have to destroy _property_ :////" crowd

Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm a writer and game dev looking for remote work in narrative design or localization. I also make custom stylesheets.
I have a couple digital tip jars, where the price of a pack of gum helps me keep making games.

also I haven't written dialogue since Goodbye Volcano High (I think the last thing I wrote for that game was the Reed conversation on the beach toward the end??) and I would love to do more writing one day
I'm writing, directing, and cutting a trailer for a thing we're working on and I forgot how fun it is to do that

This country must be dismantled in so many ways for anything good to flourish in its place
Every day on the internet I’m reminded how little vast amounts of humanity care about animals
I think there is a *version* of the system that can avoid these pitfalls personally. They definitely stumble through it a bit but I don’t think the *ideas* they were putting forward are Bad Design. I think it’s a unique subversion and I think more intentional constraints on the system would benefit
9, also an all-timer. Probably one of the best JRPGs ever made

Totally. I do love how odd it is that the game just gives you a salary. Feels like a really cool diegetic way to handle money in a game where exploring and fighting is kinda just your job
lmfao that rules, honestly very cinematic to give irvine the clutch killshot after the assassination mission early on
I do think the game could be clearer about discouraging grinding since FF was very much one of the worst offenders for making grinding a staple of the genre at the time
Incredibly disappointing
I feel you for sure. Though I really love the 1999 colorful sci fi aesthetic a lot so I’m probably a BIT biased here
