JetBlue finally admitted what we all suspected: They’re using customers’ search history against them to drive up price,” @lindsayowens.bsky.social told @gennacontino.bsky.social.
The confession was no mistake. Their only mistake was pulling the curtain back on their own deceptive pricing practices.

Trump’s tariff refund portal? Consumers won’t see a dime.
Big corporations plan to pocket their returns and keep prices high.
Consumers paid the price. They should get the refund.
United and American airlines want to merge. Their CEOs admit it’ll lead to higher airfares and less flights.
Airlines already gouge consumers any chance they get. This merger will only make it worse.
The Fed confirmed last week what working families know to be true: Trump’s illegal war in Iran is driving up prices.
It couldn’t be clearer, says @alexsjacquez.bsky.social. As long as Trump continues on this destructive path, it’ll be workers & consumers paying the price.
The annoyance economy - the scams, robocalls, and AI chat bots, leaves “people feeling overwhelmed, ignored, or jerked around” and costs “wasted time and lost money,” the @financialtimes.com reports.
How much money? $165 billion.
This month, consumer sentiment reached an all-time record low. Trump’s war with Iran & the resulting gas prices are a big reason why.
"Gas prices are highly visible… People have to fill up weekly; they often don't have much of a choice whether they pay or not,” says @alexsjacquez.bsky.social.
The path to a fair economy isn’t more tax cuts. It’s everyone paying their fair share.
“It starts to reinforce this idea that taxes, rather than being a thing that we all have to pay in order to support the kind of society that we want, are a punitive tool from the government."
The war in Iran has airline executives practically tripping over themselves.
Don’t take it from us. Just listen to what they’re saying.
Here’s a secret that TurboTax doesn’t want you to know: filing your taxes every year could be 100% free. But Trump is too cozy with Big Tax companies.
They lobbied so Americans would have to spend time & money to file their taxes - and to no one’s surprise – Trump caved.
Instead of waging a war on inflation, Trump is prioritizing his war on Iran that will only make things worse.
Credit card delinquencies are ⬆️. Savings rates are ⬇️. Wages are stagnated.
"If you pile on to that, I think you go from warning signs to major flashing alarm bells."
@mayor.nyc.gov’s plan to raise taxes on millionaires just makes sense.
“It’s really clear that a modest tax increase on millionaires is just vastly preferable to the alternative, draconian budget cuts that are going to hit families hard,” said @lindsayowens.bsky.social.
There are winners and losers this tax season.
Unless you’re a billionaire, corporation, or TurboTax - you’re the loser.

More bad news: Even with a 2-week ceasefire in place, global supply chains are still disrupted & the inflationary shockwaves will continue.
Our full statement on today's CPI report ⤵️
New inflation data out today is the first full snapshot since the onset of Trump’s war with Iran.
The numbers tell the story: prices overall have surged 3.3% compared to last March - prices overall are up ~1% - compared to February of this year.
NEW: Consumer sentiment just hit an all-time low – worse than anything seen since tracking began in the 1960s.
Consumers haven’t felt this bad about the economy – ever.
Trump’s war on Iran has made prices skyrocket on everything from gas to groceries.
But one group seems to be doing just fine.
Airline executives are using the conflict to jack up their profits — and bragging about it.
Out of the 18 companies suing the federal government for Trump tariff refunds, only two said they’d pass those refunds back to their customers.
You know, the people who actually paid the higher prices.
Today’s Personal Consumption Expenditure is clear: Once again, Trump has betrayed working families.
Corporate profits, however, are at a record high.

Chris Jansing on @ms.now asked @alexsjacquez.bsky.social about rising prices thanks to Trump’s war in Iran: “What worries you most in terms of what consumers could see?”
“Just about everything.”
Whether A.I. will lead to widespread job loss remains guesswork.
But one thing is already clear: A.I. will land first and hardest on the low- and middle-class workers.

The direct result of Trump’s war in Iran.
Companies are raking in an eye-popping $166 BILLION in revenue by inconveniencing you.
The “annoyance economy” is a money-making scheme that slowly squeezes consumers through tricks like junk fees, subscriptions that are hard to cancel, phone scams, & complicated medical bills.
3/ And Trump’s incoherent tariff policy is only making matters worse.
"Adding insult to injury: there is some evidence, according to... @groundwork.bsky.social, big corporations are taking advantage of all the confusion to impose inflationary price hikes in order to boost their own profits."
Housing is a basic human need. But in America, it’s also an investment vehicle.
As long as building homes depends on delivering big returns to private investors, rents will need to keep rising. That’s the core problem.
Our new report shows why ⤵️
Hershey’s rolled back their plan to use worse ingredients in their iconic candies (while raising prices) after our @lindsayowens.bsky.social called them out.
Fox43 News with the sweet scoop.
“Is there any part of the global economy that will remain untouched?”
“Not particularly,” our @alexsjacquez.bsky.social breaks down for @news4jax.com.
“What we're looking at is pushing up the price of just about everything.”
Trump's budget in plain terms:
+ $500 billion for the Pentagon
- $5 million in utilities assistance for families
- $4 billion for affordable housing programs
- $230 million for worker protection agencies

Deb from Wisconsin just wanted to make her family's famous lasagna. Trump's tariffs made it unaffordable.
That's not an economic white paper. That's not a trade negotiation. That's dinner — or the lack of it — for working families trying to get by.
