A screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek), with the handle @magyarpeterMP. The post reads:
"Until 31 May, the Orbán puppets may voluntarily step down from their positions. This applies to the President of Hungary, the President of the Curia, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor General.
On 12 April, the Hungarian people voted for a complete political transformation.
If these officials do not step down voluntarily by 31 May, then — on the basis of the mandate received from millions of Hungarians — we will remove them from office."

Peter Magyar is not playing around at all. He's going to purge every single remnant of corrupt Orbanism. This is exactly how Dems need to be when they retake power.

The social cost of oil/gas is the problem. Its killing us, and polluting like hell. There is no reason, other than rich people being greedy, not to switch to greener less destructive methods. Costs dont concern me, billionaires will be footing the bill.

photos of white protesters being attacked by police: one man who is resisting with a smile while they pull his hair and legs and a woman biting a policeman's arm.
Exhibit text:
The Boston Public Library holds major collections related to Boston press photography, most notably the Boston Herald-Traveler Photo Morgue. Just as contemporary press coverage of protests helps to spread the message of those demonstrating for change, these collections provide important documentation of prior activist movements and may inform continued activism today.

Recovering nutrients from urine – A golden opportunity for sustainable fertiliser production Agricultural industrialisation has led to levels of nutrients in the environment that are well above safe operating limits, yet fertiliser use is necessary to feed a growing population. The recovery ...

Out of that nitrogen, if we collected and reused our urine (after flash pasteurized) we could eliminate several zeros off that number.

"When Peter Thiel said, “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible,” he wasn’t talking about your freedom. He was talking about his own. You don’t exist. When Musk took a chainsaw to the federal government... he did so with the air of a man who believed that nothing matters."

The fact that every major police union endorsed Donald Trump is under appreciated in our political discourse.

But what was perhaps Karp's most notorious interview was with someone who got the job. Louis Mosley was an Oxford graduate who had hoped to pursue a political career in Britain. But his family history made that an impossibility: his grandfather was Oswald Mosley, the British fascist leader during World War II, and his grandmother was Diana Mitford, one of the famous Mitford sisters and who is best remembered for her close friendship with Hitler. A group of historians once named Oswald Mosley the worst Briton of the twentieth century, and while Louis had rejected his grandparents' views, his surname proved to be an insurmountable liability—Conservative Party insiders ultimately made clear that they would never be able to put him up for office because he was tainted by association.

Through a friend, he was introduced to Palantir, and after several rounds of inter-views, he flew to Palo Alto to meet with Karp.
As soon as Mosley took a seat, Karp began reciting a fiery speech that Oswald Mosley gave in 1939 demanding that Britain seek peace with Nazi Germany. ("Our generation shall not die like rats in Polish holes. They shall not die but shall live to see above their heads the English sky, to feel beneath their feet the English soil, and to enjoy the fair English countryside....") Karp didn't just repeat a few sentences; he went on for minutes, reproducing the speech from memory. Mosley sat in stunned silence. When Karp finished, he executed a few tai chi moves and walked out of the room without saying goodbye. A shaken Mosley figured that his family's dark past had torpedoed him again. But it hadn't: he was hired and ended up running Palantir's UK business. (A few years after the interview, Karp was in London, where he met with Mosley and a retired British military officer who was consulting for Palantir. Karp asked this person if he was aware of Mosley's back-ground. He said that he was but added, "Well, we all have skeletons in our closet." Karp looked at him with disgust. "A skeleton?" he said incredulously. "That's fucking Godzilla in the closet.")
