I'm a few weeks behind on this one, but the people who were all surprise Pikachu face and sad about Nick in Handmaid's Tale are the same people who reduced Hunger Games to the love triangle. They had abysmal reading comprehension and media literacy then, and they still do now.

Something fun about Scar in the Lion King is that he never does anytbing to prove that he's a genius or a good leader. He just says that he is and the hyenas are so stupid and/or desperate that they take his word for it.

On a related note, I couldn't remember the word "doctor" so I signed "hospital person" to my teacher. And, my dudes, I've never understood people learning English as a 2nd or 3rd language forgetting words and going rogue more. Like I got it before, but now I superduper get it.

Nothing is more humbling for someone trying to learn ASL than trying to sign the alphabet along with someone singing it at a regular pace or trying to keep up with simple Ms. Rachel songs for babies.

The Lime met Rey and had the biggest hug for her. She also wanted to get her own lightsaber; I'm full of nerdy pride.

Everything is a lot right now, so I think my next move is to turn inward. Focus on myself, my kids, my family, my friends, and my very closest communities. I'm in awe of people with the capacity for more than that. But me, personally? I'm just mentally coming back to my kids lighting up in Disney.

There's a newish My Little Pony song that my daughter is obsessed with that I swear samples The Offspring. Which means that one day she's going to hear my old person music in the car and say, "Why did this song steal its tune from the MLP mvoie?" and I'm going to turn into crypt dust and blow away.

I don't know who at Creature Commandos filled that soundtrack up with Gol Gol Bordello, but they were both smart and correct.

I've been basically listening to 'Red Wine Supernova' and 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' on repeat. And honestly, that feels like the right vibe.

I think they should refilm the entire 'The Tudors' series with no changes except the costumes are all designed by the people who worked on 'Six'.

The pirate droid's name is Smee!! I didn't know I want a kids-on-bikes style pirate adventure set in Star Wars. But of course I do.

I've thought Ariana Grande would be great as Glinda since she and Mika put out Popular. But I DIDN'T expect her to go fully feral with it. A+, did cry during Defying Gravity, will see again.
